I'm going to try this tonight when I get home. For people who got their Zune to work with itunes, does your Zune device now recognize album artwork that appeared in itunes but not the zune software?
i know this tread has been beat to hell. but i need some formal help with this. i start to sync some music to my zune and while it's sync'ing i end the process. then switch it generic wpd. i then go to WMP11 to sync it there. it sees my zune but gives me this error code "Windows Media Player cannot access the file. The file might be in use, you might not have access to the computer where the file is stored, or your proxy settings might not be correct." am i unlocking it correctly?? or what is goin on. sorry i am a noobie with all this. im used to using itunes but dell had a sale for a 30gb brown zune for $99 so i got it since my ipod is broke after 4 years. soo please help!!!,
I tried reinstalling and it didn't seem to work. Do you think I am going to have to reinstall my zune software or is do I need to completely reset my zune. Once again my problem is, is that the zalt program says that it couldn't find a zune installed on my system.
Nurta yes the volume was up and all other song I had on there worked fine before zAlt and useing MM. I followed the step by step for zAlt worked great just no sound. Tried three or four times of putting on and taking off thanks for quick respond

well, i dont really get this hack...lemme just make myself clear...Ive a Zune30 w. FW1.4, and my computer is running Vista with the latest Zune software installed...i read the procedures but i cant even get to the sync process coz the software requires me to upgrade my Zune to FW2.3 to get access to my zune. So how can u make it work in this case?? I tried to install XP and the 1.4 software on my computer for just syncing my zune with it(i know its kinda stupid...) and ive been waiting so long for a hack that may simplify all these...
Would you please pm me or leave me a msg telling me what i can do with it(in details)?

Anyone hate the fact that they need to open the zunesoftware, unlock it, change serviceprovider...etc? I'm just doing a poll and see if any people hate it doing this everytime they use zalternator. If the number of people who wants a hack to save you the hassle of changing service provider is highier 50, i'll make hack to do that automatically next month.
I've tried all the steps, have downloaded the HD hack, says it was successfully installed, and I just cannot get Mediamonkey to recognize the Zune. The Zune still says it's syncing, the Zalternator is set to the proper setting, but then I go back in to MM and restart it, and there's nothing there.

I've got the same problem with my zune 80 and windows vista
again, thanks for your concern. it still doesnt work for me, ill keep trying, or mayb im not doin it in the rite way. i think the main problem is that the HDD hack doesnt work on my stupid vista computer...
When you run zalternator, are you running it as an administrator?

gregory ok is this why when useing MM with zAlt everything sync's my zune shows up songs and art show up just no sound all other song still play like before just not the ones sync with zAlt and MM
