I manually edited the registry in Vista and it only took a few minutes. The only different thing I did was edit under the CurrentControlSet instead of ControlSet001. Same thing with the hack to remove the second icon.

now why didn't I do that. I hacked control set one, which took a long time. I haven't herd of the hack to get rid of the second icon. How do you do it,, hust our of curiosity.

Search your registry for all instances of "UseWpdPrivateInterface" and set them to 0.

I downloaded the net framework and the patch. I clicked patch and the error window popped up. What am I doing wrong?
It said I must have WMP 11 but I don't know what version I have.
I have administrative rights.
I'm using Windows XP on an HP laptop.
Help would be apprceiated, please.

Hello boys are Italian, I bought the ZUNE from 80 GB.
I installed the patch 4.2, and I see him as Zune hard disk, but 'not allow me to paste any type of file (mp3, wmv etc. ....).

Oh, ok. To paste things to your Zune with the hack, start the zune software and start to sync something (preferebly a long movie that it has to convert). Your Zune should say that it's syncing. Now you can edit the data in the Zune. Also, If you use the Zune song sharing, you can actually copy the files from the Zune to your computer and then put it on the zune, and you will be able to keep it forever.

I've tried restarting my computer (a couple of times), I've unlock my zune &then undid that process, I've tried the patcher multiple times, never works. It just refers me to the support forum...

So I recently had to reinstall my OS, and the music I had before is on my Zune. It was placed using the Zune program... now I can look at the files and all that good stuff but when I go to copy them to "My Music" I get a message 'Access is Denied.'

Your Zune is locked. If you just unlock it, it will work. You can do this manually, which you don't need to do, or automaticly, usin the free zAuto Unlocker. You can get it on completed hacks, and it will have instructions.

I have seen a few other people with this same problem

I am trying to drag and drop files to to zune from my desktop.
I originally go the "do not have permission" problem.

Then I tried to drag and drop while the zune was syncing a large movie. It said that my zune was busy and had to wait. Then once it was done waiting it came up with the "do not have permission" problem again....

Any solutions?

Hi- i have a new zune 80 with a 64 bit operating system. I couldn't not get any of the hacks posted on these forums to work with my system and zune. Does anyone have any suggestions for these specs? Thanks!

Most of these hacks will only work with the 32 bit version of windows. If you have Vista business or Ultimate, it will be able to emulate 32 bit, but if not, you're out of luck. sorry

I've been trying to get this to work for the past 3 hours and its been no dice. The zAutoUnlocker will make my Zune sync but then it will not allow it to put files on the Zune. I have a 30gig if that helps. I have tried manually syncing and ending the zune process and I've tried using zAutounlocker (which apparently does the same)

Any help is greatly appreciated

EDIT: I can make as many folders as I want, but I cant place anything in the folders. Also the exact error it gives me is "Cannot copy blah blah.rar: The device has either stopped responding or has been disconnected."

i can add files to my video folder, but when i go into the zune to play these videos, there is no thumbnail and no name for that video. Is this normal?
