Zune software SUCKS, Issues...

SUCKS!

There are so many damn errors in this software

When syncing...

Right now i synced a playlist with 1200 songs, some where in the zune and some not, he synced once, DIDNT PUT THE PLAYLIST IN, ok i sync again.... Playlist is there now, just that there are only 800 songs :@ And i have free space!, then i go to delete a playlist just to find that it only deletes the playlists from the zune not the songs in it from the zune so i have to do a RETARDED one by one selection of songs to delete them??? OMG M$ u SUCK

Then i sync some movies ok 2 items added, unplug when safe, Voila no freaking movies added, sync again, and nothing, so ok i deleted some random songs, voila the damn zune froze in a Syncing state after he deleted


Man why does the zune software work like a freaking amateur beta software? Why all these normals procedures work in half? i gave up on the zune, the software and functions SUCK

did you try syncing again? sometimes it just pretends to sync(sucks yes, but it still syncs eventually) also, disconnect before trying again.

Yeah i tried resetting the zune, connecting, removing playlist making it over, sync again, etc etc, and still, someday he will sync it, but its DAMN ANNOYING to see that the zune copied 800 out of 1200 according to Items Synced, then u put again knowing that 400 songs are out, and it says: All items Sync Complete :@ MAAAAANNNNNN

Tsk, ive tried to hold onto the zune but seriously, all this Cannot use as HD, Syncs miss and fool the user, videos copy but not copy, removal of songs SUCKS, removing makes the zune freeze, sometimes u copy something with the HD mode trick and it says copying, Takes the freaking space and my file is nowhere to be found, now i have to freaking format the zune, and start adding over 40,000 pictures from my mangas and all my songs and HOPE i dont get hell from doing all this IPOD TOUCH on the way

Lopin I agree 100%. Worst software I have ever used with mp3 players and I have tried 4 different ones. And Zune doesn't work with Vista, doesn't let you rename songs once synced, half the time you plug it in it refuses to find the files on your zune, you have to convert videos ten times with independent software to add them, doesn't have a good playlist feature like Ipod, half the time sorts the artists wrong or refuses to load the photos... the list could go on for miles. I got mine as a gift and when I have enough money will buy something else and get rid of it. It is simply the worst, and no one would help me with the Vista problem when I have asked everywhere. Tried every suggestion\hack.

It think it's just you. I haven't found one flaw in this software other than it not being able to install on non-genuine Windows.

Well i formated my pc twice and i always get the same problems, Sync songs to zune, all my mangas, after some time want to delete some packs of songs, and it FREEZES deleting them, then i try more things and find myself that the zune software SUCKS as always and gives me the issues again, NOW im in the same freaking hole again after i FORMATED the zune to add it all cleanly and now i have to update my stuff and i CANT cause it freezes deleting stuff, adds my playlists but doesnt updates the old ones, deleted the old one now the new one wont appear, cant delete all songs cause it freezes up

First off, when you delete a playlist, you are deleting a file that has pointers to all the songs, not the actual songs so you shouldn't expect it to delete the songs off of your zune. I think ms has a group sync or something now that should make it easier to delete. As for all the songs on your playlist not syncing, I can't help you.

As for the movies, what codecs are you using and what bitrates for sound and video?

Also the way that you post makes you look like you're 8 years old.

Anyone in my shoes would be pretty pissed off seeying how the zune software works. and i wish i can revert back to 8 years old so i can gather enough mindless rage to wreck this damn zune into the wall.

Today im working in my workplace pc, guess what, SAME things, after i formated the zune movies sync worked again, now its the freaking songs and other stuff

Another sweet problem NOT to buy a zune, im trying to copy something with the HD trick, i try to sync something, when its in Syncing i try to copy something to the zune, ok waiting waiting, starts copying the file and i Ctl Alt Del close the Zune, leaving the file copying, Ok 700 mgs used for the file i unplug and plug, NO FREAKING FILE but he still took the 700 mgs, tried again, took 700 for the file, reconnect AGAIN no file,

This is pointless i dont know whats causing these issues, but after i updated in january to the Zune 2 version MAN this started to freefall to the crapper.

sry but i have this zune for 2 years and after the updates, the zune just SUCKS, FINITTE, theres no solution other than using the library cleaner that made my songs copy again after that the issues came back again, and formating the zune makes it work for a couple of days then they come back

Zune software is too damn amateurish and buggy, maybe some of u are lucky that it works fine, but im using several pcs and i keep gettings new bugs in all damn pcs. i ggave up

Bah im trying to find a way around this, but theres no freaking way, the only way i can Sync songs etc is be using the library cleaner, then he copies them fine, also this morning i added the same playlist 5 times, with diff names, and synced them all, in the zune:

1st one: had 9 songs..... .....
2nd: didnt appear
3rd: had half songs i think
4th: had all the songs
5th: didnt appear

General issues:

- When syncing or updating new playlists they "sync" but they wont show in the zune device but according to the Software they are "there"
- Deleting stuff makes my zune FAKE deleting and frezes most of the times, and never deletes what i told it to, sometimes he will.
- By hd Trick: "Copies" the files, takes the space yet the file is never present....

If i format the zune i can add all and work fine for sometime.

Some full 2 hours movies, 30,000 pictures (Mangas), and 10 gbs in music. after those things are in, its all dandy but when i wanna delete or update some of these things ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE, something triggers all these issues, OR they are GENERAL and some of u lucky enough dont seem the get them.... its a Vista independent issue, since my workplace has XP....

God damnit! I cant be formating my zune each time i wanna delete some stuff and always reset my library and pray so i can get all my playlists inside my zune without losing 5000 songs in the process !@$!@$!@%%!@$#%$!@$#

they should ask the people what they want a calculator a non complicated way to get games a repeat 1 song only option and a friggin clock ask the people

Anyway, why don't you downgrade? I am about to get a 3G iphone(as long as it's unlockable) when it comes out(June 9th), but I will still use my Zune for music.

Bah moved anyways seems like hard reseting teh zune to factory backup firmwire and reinstalling the 2.5 helps all these weird ass issues

To delete a playlist and its content plug in your zune, go to device > status under the picture of the zune it says sync device and view sync groups, then organize them by size because playlists are probably the biggest the click remove and it should remove the list and its contents. Looks like you got your issues fixed, but this is just for future reference if you see someone ask about it.

i have most of theses problems too but you just have to ride it out and deal with them.
eventually they'll fix them, like how they fixed most of the original problems with the new software

I can not understand how anyone could release such a pile of crap. Not only is this software incredibly slow, it recognizes my Zune only about 20% of the time. Oh and did I say that it is incredibly slow yet? I have to start the software about 5 minutes before I can even use it. And it is not my PC. I have installed this on more than one PC and see the same results. I have 2 30 GB zunes, and I am really just about ready to whip them against the wall and buy an ipod... Really, the software is that bad.
