i read around that 2.3 was the cause of a lot of people problems (and potentially mine), so in around 15 minutes i fixed myself up with 2.1 and now there's no more random shutoffs!

Have you had any problems? I haven't had any at all yet.

You could have done a hard reset with 2.3.

honestly, 2.3 is a reasonable firmware, I'm just waiting for 2.4 or whatever it'll be, and the 1.x firmwares were pretty good too. what is really problematic is the software. Sure it works, but it has problems. I've never heard of problems with 2.3 firmware...

it's sorta my name. there's a bit of my last name in there too.

the problem i was having was the random shutdowns. i thought that downgrading the firmware may fix that but yeah. it didn't.
funny how whenever i play the new islands album (or the old one even) i can run the whole battery down without it restarting, but it can't get like five songs through illinoise.
maybe the ID3 tags have something to do with it.

What we need right now is more stable software...

But congrats anyways on downgrading.
