I'm seriously hitting my boiling point, i cant stand it much longer. After seeing this ad (

YouTube - Mac vs PC Commercial - Yoga

), i think that apple has lost it. Is apple so insecure about their own computers that they feel they have to sh*t on the competition just to prove a false point? I mean come on. But what amazes me the most is the fact that people believe this. Are people these days so influenced by a comercial that they let someone else make their decisions for them? I mean half the people i talk to that own a mac bought it because "The commercials said they're great and so do the employees at the store". NO SH*T the employee's at the APPLE store are going to promote APPLE products! Hell all the employees really say is "They're awesome, get one!" and know nothing about computers at all. And what really pisses me off is when i'm in a help forum for a PC, just trying to do something simple like, i dont know, backing up a hard drive or building a new setup completely, one stuck up little jerk has the nerve to post "Get a Mac, Everything is ready to go out of the box!" or "You dont have to back up a hard drive on a Mac because you'll never get a virus!" and yet they know nothing about computers. I mean wow, are you so insecure (over use of the word i know but it's the perfect word for what i'm trying to say) that you have to troll a PC forum to get just one person to switch, when the reason that sed people have made a PC friendly forum was to keep people like you out, just to make your day? It seems like Apple users know they made a wrong choice, but are to arrogant to admit it. So they go around and pull stunts like that just to make them look like they're right.

Screw you Apple. I have tolerated you before, but now, I'm declaring war on you, and your ignorant, arrogant, naive, conceited and insecure (again, word over use sorry) users.

Sorry to break it to you, but Apple is a company. You can't screw it. Besides, taking shots at each other happens frequently between companies. (ex: CE-Oh no he didn't). Seriously, it's not making you any richer or poorer if Bill Gates loses a few customers to Apple or vice versa.

Even then, didn't bashing the competition go out a while ago (i.e. Coca-Cola and Pepsi)?
And actually, alot of the commercials aren't true. I'm not saying windows is the best (Linux FTW) but i do think that it is far better than Crapple OSX.

No. "CE-Oh No he didn't!" is just a prime example. It's a thing on Engadget where they post whenever a CEO, or someone else important, says something negative about their competition. It happens all the time. I'm not saying it's right, but Apple isn't the only company than shows their strengths through their competitors' weaknesses. I'm not saying that Apple is better, and quite frankly, I don't care. I will probably always use Windows for my personal computers.

That would hamper their efforts to sell their product big time especially now that they use PC parts. Touting their OS is the only way to move their hardware, which cannot stand on it's own merits.

I remeber watching a Mac keynote on the G5 processor, where they slammed the living hell out of Intel's P4, and I mean like, slapped it around beyond the point of reconciling.

..And months later they'd switched their chips.

They're arrogant and manipulative, but I guess that makes them smart where it counts.

The G5 Processor was the first processor with a 64-Bit architecture and was benchmarked to be superior to the P4 and at that time Apple was selling towers with Dual G5's. Though for a year Apple had been planning the Intel switch and months before deadline released PC's with Core 2 Duo processors - Not Pentium 4's. They did release a Mini with an "Intel Core Solo" but that would be catagorized as a "Celeron".

in case you would like to know microsoft's strategy here, it is simply, show everyone how little apples sand flinging hurts them. they dont even need to react because they know that the number of people who will buy apples is tiny, and the number that will switch over completely and not even own or operate a pc is even less.
the fact is if microsoft wanted to fight back they would start with exposing apples false benchmarks on nearly every setup they have released on the new os.
oh and the reason that even today apple can pit their computers against pc's is this: the variety of pc's is amazing, they can go anywhere from 2d graphic and spreadsheets to 3d graphics, antialiasing, and crossfires. all apple is ever had to do was show their latest model against something put together five years ago.
If apple were to have their computers run against a pc of equivalent cost, they would be beat down so fast you wouldnt have time to get in a laugh before the contest was over. pretty sad to be saying that the pc can only do spreadsheets when you have zero hold on the gaming market ehh.
