ZuneCast NOT podcast!!

Many of you still refer to small streamed audio and video broadcast as podcast, I'm sorry but they are actually called ZuneCast! I had to crack down here at the offices in Redmond also for the agregious mistatement.
It took firing 18 of our "media people" for the message to get through, but at least now everyone here at Microsoft uses the proper terminology.

All forums are now also on notice that this ignorance will no longer be tolerated.

I will soon have a ZuneCast on the subject.

Wow.. Makes you realize the mods choose who they decide to infract for spam and who they don't.

When the podcasts were announced, ZuneBoards had an announcement saying it's not called "podcast" because it has anything to do with iPods, it is just what they are called. If I can find the article later, I'll post it for you.

Although I do agree, Zunecast would be better. Or at least something that doesn't have 3/4 of the iPod's name in it.

did anyone else notice how some of the "zunecasts" on the marketplace actually promote the ipod?

a lot of the zunecast I get says "go to itunes and buy the rest" and i laff cuz no one is gonna go to lame itunes to but it.....ZUNECAST FTW thats what they shuld have called it on our software

To me, it's still a podcast, but I guess it's OK to have your own words for it.

Also, Steve Ballmer, I could've SWORN the guy/girl in that signature was a girl.... I guess it's really a guy huh? Sounded to me like a girl when I saw that video..
