I'm having an issue with the Zune software disrupting my USB ports and dumping the wireless card in my desktop.

I'm running Vista sp2. 3gig of ram. Can't remember the processor speed. Zune software version 4.0.

A few mins. after opening the zune software the num lock light on my keyboard starts flashing randomly and the motion of my mouse pointer stutters (in sync with the num lock light!). Seconds after that the pc drops the wireless network. When I try to reconnect to my router, the card cannot detect my router (nor the other routers in my hood). I have to restart the PC to be able to pick up the router again. The fastest way to kick off this meltdown is to play music from either the library or marketplace.

I've tried cleanly reinstalling the software three times now. I uninstalled the Zune software and all its dependent processes/services. I could never get 4.0 to reinstall. It kept getting stuck on "Checking for updates...." and would go no further.

I could get 3.1 to install, and I decided I'm better off to keep my software/firmware right here. Is there a way I can do this, and keep Zune from forcing updates? I previously tried this with 2.5, but then the Zune wouldn't sync unless I upgraded. If anyone knows of any registry hack or other way to do this I'd like to give it a try.

Ideally, I'd like to run 2.5 because that was the last release that had "Playlist On the Go" that you could save. it's quite a long time I used my Zune so it still has the version 2.5 on it. Now I have installed the newest version 4.0 on my new computer. It recognizes my Zune in the first place, but then I get an error C00D11CD (80070057) and it just won't update my firmware and my Zune is not being recognized. I tried everything like restarting Zune, reinstalling, manual install (the zune-firmware.msi file won't start) of firmware but nothing worked for me.
i tried updating my old computer, but I get the same message here after installing 4.0.
I'm using a non-us-windows vista and now I can't use my Zune anymore :(
I think I have all needed Windows updates installed.

So is there a way to fix this problem?

Also, when I make rearrange my music, like moving them between folders, the Zune program says that the device has it, but it doesn't. Sometimes it would think that I was pressing random spots at the bottom of the screen. When this happens, I HAVE to reset it, because turning it off normaly is impossible. I had to get a new one. It's doing the same thing, random-pressing stuff. I want to know how many other people might have this, or if I'm going to need to get a THIRD zune HD.

And I also deleted some pics on the software, this is bugging me that the Zune player is not mirrored as how the software appears (cause it still keeps these old stuff).
