Default <?> [G] Touchy Simon Game 1.1.23

As many of you might remember a cute playful toy called Simon when you were young. The simple rule is to repeat after what robotic Simon says. Follow the sequence of lighted patterns as long as you can... only if you can.

This current version is final and ready to play Simon game without sounds. The next version will include sound effects with a possible menu of several music themes to choose.

Download from my Skydrive:
* package w/o sounds - TouchySimon.23.ccgame - Windows Live
* package with sounds - TouchySimon.27.ccgame - Windows Live
* source - PM me

Your comments are always welcome!

Credits:
* DJAImix for background and button images
* ZuneBoards Community for suggestions

[N.B. itsnotabigtruck: source eventually to be released under GPL3; contact KawaCoder if interested]

Awesome, I'll try it in a second

Edit:Nice. Maybe you could add some multi-touch support for more complicated gameplay?

Your suggestion might be a good idea. Either one or two fingers a time would be a player's option. Memorizing a sequence of pairs might be too difficult to play. We shall see. Thanks for the idea.

Yes, there will be sound. Our graphics designer will supply sound effects for the game.

I am amazed by the progress on this game. I can't wait to see the final game come out.

I'm excited for this game, I always enjoyed games like Simon and Bop-It. How far is this game developed? Does it just light up when you touch the buttons, or does it play like the Simon game? I'm asking because I can't program, just a mathematician I don't think I'd be much help if there was no gameplay yet.

Final version of this game should be able to simulate the real Simon. The development of this game is about 50% complete. Am awaiting a package of graphics work from our GFX guy. Hope very soon.

you should have the option to change the sound effects to like original, drum, synth pad, and more, that will make the gameplay a lot more fun And interesting IMO

Maybe different songs for the 2-finger version. We will need 6 new songs, one for each pair. However, I am not a music artist. Hope someone will supply them.

Hmmm so I happen to be a music producer, but are you asking about sound effects with different pitches, that would be pretty easy.

Sorry about no updates on this has semester finals and now I can get back to this

Default Pre-release

The OP has been updated today. Unfortunately, the current version does not have sounds yet. I could not produce sounds for the game because I am tone deaf. Hope somebody else would provide some sound effects for the next version.

-the S doesnt really work

-the WIP stamp is still on it..

-would be nice to see only the simon figure glowing instead of a whole block

Yeah, they are the obvious. They all will be fixed in the next version. The S button is meant to go back to the splash screen when the game is over. Those two small buttons will be disabled during the gameplay.

Would be better if it was widescreen though but other than that it's fantastic.
