well first thing, there's a spelling error. if it was on purpose, sorry. i know someone would point it out eventually, so i'm saving them the trouble and saying it first. the second thing, i love it!! the hand drawn look is really neat. the only thing so far i'd complain about is the steering. it would be nice to have it steer smoother and more accurately. with the slightest tilt of my zune the ship almost always takes a quarter turn instead of a slight adjustment, and i end up over correcting with a quarter turn the other direction till i'm crashing into everything in sight xD

but i really like this, i hope to see it running optimally soon!

Looks great! I really like the font and how it looks like someone drew it! it looks really cool! But yeah... its "Asteroids" not "Astroids"

Its his game and so he can call it anything he likes *lol*

I guess he is aware of the misspelling, but rather decided to call it not the same like the original... but I may be wrong...

yea, i agree 100% with dirk, his game his own name and having that spelling makes it less vunerable for a copyright infringement

The naming is intentional, this is not a recreation of the clasic (and hence not the same game) but an atempt to make the same style of game.

The control scheme is still not complete, I have a few options I am working on and may have the option to chose in the game these are
1) Directly corralated with the angle of the zune (the ship points in the same direction as the angle you hold the zune)
2) analog sterring (like a car)
3) step based sterring (what we have not but with more steps)

Also the game is a bit easy right now so that needs some adjusting later but its nice while the mechanics are being worked on.

the other thigs missing are in no perticular order
- Explosion animations
- Sound Fx
- Music
- Highscore board (incl save)
- Find and fix a known bug (I hid the bug for now)
- Better collision detection, I use a proximity function but should change this to be a real collision detection
- better placement of asteroids when starting
- maybe a hyperspace jump function
- UFO's?
- non vector version (If I can get some gfx)

If the tilt could we a little less sensitive, or if you could make it faster/slower based on if you tilt it more/less that would be great. because now it is kind of hard to control it.
