Default <?> [ST] Icarus' Battery Meter

I wrote up a quick app to get an accurate battery meter and thought i would throw in some accelerometer thingies just for a bit of a test. I want to make this into a full app because i think the battery meter on the zune is somewhat pitiful.

this is pretty good. even though clicking the side button on the zune is easier than launching an app and having to restart your zune

Plus, using an app makes the battery drain faster lol

I wish you could press the battery icon in the firmware and see this... And i want to see its level while charging. The clock would also be nice with the side button.

yeah i know all terrible factors... but why is it that the thing crashes after homebrew apps are run? and i only really did it for something to do and so i knew when the battery was fully charged (im a NEW zune owner...)

its does that with all homemade apps. its unavoidable until microfost decides to stop pissing us off. until then, everyones gonna have to deal with it.

It doesnt crash, it restarts. When you start a homebrew app, the DRM is turned off, and you cant play DRM songs. Since they dont want you cracking their DRM, they make the device restart so the DRM is turned back on

The DRM is just a cheap excuse. It is really so if people can manage to run native applications through XNA, it would make sure that the applications would not be able to interrupt the regular Zune functionality by forcing a restart.

yeah its a rather bad excuse... i mean why give the functionality if you are just gonna go and screw it up?
