The new version is actually about a billion times easier. I'm not making that up. I've won countless games of Spree, Timed Spree & Classic. After redoing the AI I was overjoyed to hear one of my testers to yell out "I actually won a game!" The game is the perfect difficulty I think. Survival mode is setup for you to lose at around the 3 minute mark, but you can't win survival.
Also, the character choice...I payed to have a custom sprite made but it didn't turn out that great... Not to mention it was a bit expensive. I actually have to get around to paying for it although I probably won't use it. I just don't want to feel like I wasting their time. =/
If you want to make some custom characters for the game, be my guest. If they are not copyrighted and totally original I'd happily include them in the game.
