3.0 Firmware Game Package

This thread is where you can download the games that I have managed to convert from XNA 3.0 CTP to XNA 3.0 Final combined with links to game threads that work with 3.0 Firmware. All credit for these games goes to the creators. I will be updating this every time a new game comes out or a game is updated. Just click the download link and it will direct you to the right place.

Again, I do want to strongly stress that I do not take credit for any of these games. I am just basically allowing the people to play them.

Also, if you guys could tell me if they are working for you that would be great!

I have now organized these games into categories. The following categories are Shooter, Classic Arcade, Puzzle, Music Involved, and Other. They will be color coordinated. The color patterns are as followed.

Red = Shooters.
Green = Classic Arcades.
Orange = Puzzle.
Purple = Music Involved.
Blue = Other.

Description: It's the Connect 4 board game with a little twist for the Zune.

Alien Aggressors
Description: This game is based off of the classic game Milipede. The enemy will slowly approach you moving side to side until he finally reaches you. You must destroy all of the enemies and move on to the next level before the enemies reach you.

Alien Game
Description: You play as a tank that must shoot at the enemies above you. The enemies you fight are primarily flying saucers. They shoot at you as you shoot at them.

AlienShooter RP
Version: 1.1
Description: This is the 2D Tutorial game that is at the Xna creators club website but on the Zune. Right now it kinda has a menu thing and it also features a tank ship enemy.

aMAZEing
Version: 0.1
Description: Roll your ball along an elevated maze, finding your way to the next level without falling off! The first level is a training level and has sidewalls that prevent you from falling off. You can fall off of the maze from Level 2 on.

Arcade Classics
Version: 2.25
Description: This game consists of four mini-games inside of it. The first is Pong. Although, unlike the normal version of pong, this version has four paddles and you do not compete against anyone. The second game is Snake. You play on a Pokemon map. The third is Classic Snake. It's snake with the classic black and white look. The fourth game is Space Invaders. Enemies will approach you as you try to stay alive as long as possible.

Asteroids
Version: 1.0
Description: It's the arcade classic Asteroids game for the Zune. What more can I say? You must destroy the asteroids before they hit you.

Attack!
Description: This is a re-skinned version of Microsoft's Alien Game. You are a tank fighting jets that drop missiles on you.
Download

Beat Wave
Description: This game requires you to catch falling notes. You are only allowed to miss so many notes before you get game over. The amount of notes that you can miss gets higher if you catch certain upgrades.

Blackout
Description: The object of this game is to turn all of the lights off. By clicking one square every light around it turns on or off, depending on if it was on off before.

Bombtastic
Version: 1Z
Description: This game is very similar to Bomberman. You must set bombs and in a couple of seconds they will explode. This is how you kill your enemies. You must quickly move out of the way of the bombs because they can also hurt you.

Breakout
Description: This is one version of the game Breakout. You must bounce a ball off of your paddle in order to break bricks. To complete the level, all bricks must be broken.

Cannon Game
Description: A four player game where you control cannons and you fire at each other. All four players can be controlled on one Zune. Each player has a different color cannon. The last player alive wins.

Collapse
Description: In this game, you must dodge falling objects. You get score for the longer you stay alive. If a falling object hits you, your score then resets.

Crates
Description: A game in which you must tip over crates to reach an objective. The different crates are color coded corresponding to how many crates there are.

Fuzzy Logic
Description: Fuzzy logic is an engine. It has 3 AI features, a tank follows mice according to 3 different AI patterns up and down allow you to change those, and left to right allows you to modify the parameters of those.

Galactic Wars 3
Description: One of the first shooter games for the Zune. It's a Galaga style shooting game with different enemies and weapons.

Gato Muy Splato
Version: 1.0
Description: In this game, you control a cannon which will shoot out a cat. You are going for the distance that you shoot the cat. Once the cat lands, it bounces. You can further your distance by landing on bombs that will make you go farther.

Gold Chase
Description: A 3-D game where you wonder around levels searching for gold and treasure. You avoid different ghosts that will kill you in one hit.

Gravity
Description: You create circles. The size of the circle determines the amount of gravity it has.

Groove
Version: 1.6
Description: A form of DDR for the Zune. You hit notes as they fall to the beat of your music. You use the left, center, and right buttons on your Zune.

Guess The Song
Description: The title says it all. You guess the song. It will give you a sample of a song and you must guess either the name of the song or the artist.

Helicopter Game
Description: The famous internet game brought to the Zune. You control a damaged helicopter and must avoid hitting any of the obstacles or you will die. Helicopter Game does finally have a working score counter!

LEGO Pacman
Description: A game of Pacman with a LEGO theme to give it a sort of 3-D look.

Life
Description: I personally do not understand this game. Here our the rules. Any live cell with fewer than two live neighbours dies. Any live cell with more than three live neighbours dies. Any live cell with two or three live neighbours lives to the next generation. Any dead cell with exactly three live neighbours comes to life.

Light Cycles
Description: This is a version of the classic tron game for the Zune. The goal is to survive and make the enemy (blue line) crash. You die by hitting any wall.

Manic Miner
Description: A game with a classic arcade style look to it. You must go through obstacles on each level to obtain a key that unlocks the next level. You must also avoid enemies or you will die.

Description: This game is one of those where you must switch blocks around in order to create three ore more in a row. They could be arranged horizontally, vertically, or a combination of both.

Minesweeper
Version: 3.0
Description: This is the classic game that is on Windows operating systems. You must try to avoid the bombs by using the clues on the blocks.

NAME
Description: A game very similar to the classic game Worms. You take turns firing weapons at you opponent until you kill each and every one of his players. Each person has three different players. There are multiple weapons to use.

Description: Another music quiz game with it's own unique look.

Description: Who doesn't love Pacman??? I'm pretty sure there is no need for a description here.

Particle Engine
Description: It's a particle engine. The center button changes the mode to smoke or explosion.

Pelican Game
Description: This is a re-skinned version of the Helicopter Game. The theme is based on the game Halo. You are flying a crashing Pelican and must guide the Pelican through the obstacles without hitting any of them.

Description: Another version of Pong with it's own look and style.

PopEm
Description: You are a cat with a bow and arrow. The objective is to pop all of the balloons with your bow and arrow to move on to the next level.

Rock Rain SD

Description: You are a space ship that must avoid falling rocks or asteroids. If one hits you then you die.

Runaway!
Description: You play as a little green square and you have to avoid the red square. There are a few different options to change the gameplay (option for teleporting enemy instead of one that follows, and one that allows you to go through the edges of the screen and come out the other side).

Description: Navigate Sammy on his quest to eat delicious oranges and grow up big and strong. (The classic game of snake)

Description: A capture the flag game with a Sonic the Hedgehog theme. Has wireless network enabled but also has a single player mode as well.

Description: In this game, you create different patterns with different creatures. As of right now, there are three different creatures in which you can choose from.

Squadron Z
Description: In this game you pilot a ship and basically try to shoot down the enemy ships who also try to shoot you. The bad guys sometimes drop upgrades when you kill them which right now include machine gun damage upgrades and homing missile upgrades.

Version: 2.1
Description: A shooting game where you pilot a small ship shooting at other enemy ships. This game includes different weapons and weapon upgrades.

Valgard's Fate
Version: 0.3.2
Description: An action and adventurous RPG game for the Zune. From playing it a little I can determine that you are some buff warrior dude who is in the random forest fighting rats and goblins and also finding gold and potions along the way. You have health and you gain experience points along your journey.

Xmonster
Version: 2.31
Description: You must save the people from being eaten from the Xmonster. Has random levels so it can be played for hundreds of levels.

Description: Another brick break game. You must destroy the bricks by bouncing a ball off of your paddle. You advance to the next level when all bricks are destroyed.

Description: A form of Guitar Hero on the Zune. You must hit the notes in the order that fall to your music. The buttons are as follows. Back is green, left is red, center is yellow, right is blue, and play is orange.
