If you could just touch it up to at least make it like 10fps it would be hella better.
Dunno what your problem is. Runs fine for me, just is a little simplistic

For those people having performance problems; are you playing the game with the Zune still actively hooked upto that PC/XNA GS3? Because that will effect the frame rate...

Small glitch, the notes dont have to be anywhere near the bottom arrows, as long as the falling arrow is on the screen and you press that button it disappears.

Im not sure on how well he will be able to help the fps, what happens is that he generates the notes based on the frequency(or sample? didnt look at his code), then he limits 3 notes to be on the screen at one time. What happens is that actually much, much, more notes are being generated but they get deleted(?) so you dont get to see them but the process jams the fps down.
I ran into the same problem with my Zune Hero, but my game only does it on heavy songs.

PS. I might be completely wrong, I havent looked at his code, just played the game and going on from what happened to me when i was coding something like this

Yes it goes away but your score dosen't go up.. as long as the arrow is past the top of the blue triangle and above the bottom of the screen it will plus your score! Programming terms 275 > y < 320 = Score+

Maybe you should add doubles if that was possible.

Actually you might be right but the only way to get the 200 freq. is to get all of the ones below it so 198 of them are wasted. I pretty sure if I can get only those three the game will run much more smoothly, I will try it and see...

It is possible but I'am not sure how to get x,y on multiple objects some of the people who make games like beat wave could tell me how they put multiple objects on the screen and make them move...

catnat109: also you might want to try having the sampling of frequencies occur in a different thread. I know from practice that it takes a LONG time to request the frequency info and having the main thread wait for that to happen could be a bad idea. Plus if you did this, the whole thing of waiting till you get a good enough one wouldn't matter, since it's all occurring in a seperate thread.

How do you create a new thread in C# I know how to in Visual Basic but not in C#?

I could try, it takes more work to make the menus, that's the biggest thing.
Do you mean the playlists on the zune or all of the music and make playlists out of it?
playlist on the zune, idk how many other people are like me and have a bunch of crappy songs on their zunes that they never listen to. plus some of them are like stand up comedy

I would love to play this game to Mitch Hedberg jokes! No, but seriously. This game is great. And I love the look of it. It could use a little more tweaking before it's perfect, but you're almost there. In the mean time, I'll be playing Star Shooter.
