I've been working on a new game called Squadron Z.

In this game you pilot a (2D) ship and basically try to shoot down other bad (2D) ships who also try to shoot you. The bad guys sometimes drop upgrades when you kill them which right now include machine gun damage upgrades and homing missile upgrades(first one gives you homing missiles, the rest increase damage... for now)
The ship's guns look pretty cool as do ships themselves and the explosions and homing missiles are what I'm most proud of

. Also, I'm using the ZBlade as the menu so that's pretty cool too. (There's a menu option for 2 players but don't use it, it's not even close to working yet) You can also choose music and can have the touch pad controls if you want them. There is also a pause menu activated by pressing the center button on zune 30's or with touch controls enabled. In the pause menu you can change your music settings. To change it, press left/right to choose the setting you want and play/pause button to activate the change. Press back to return to the game.

Edit: New Version 1.5- Now works with Zune 3.0 software.

Future Updates:
Multiplayer(eventually)
possibly more levels with more different enemies added?

I like it.
Looks like it has some good potential. =D
My only complaint so far is too much Anti Gravity.
(I'm bouncing around like a maniac) lol
I love they bullets. Although enemy fire needs to be more visible.

I'll take screen shots if you can wait till around 10 -11 o'clock today. (assuming its 3:07)

new version is up, I added explosions and made it so you lose health a LOT quicker(was too easy before) to ShotgunSnipist: thanks for the feedback, glad you like it. I'm gonna add dampening next version cause I forgot to for this one, so that'll make you bounce less

yeah i agree that you bounce around too much. i like the game though.

sounds like a great time waster... I'll be playing it. can't wit for those updates though...

It's really fun, but killing the enemies is somewhat hard when you can barely see their shots. If you make those brighter or contrast them better, i will be complaint free. Good job!

Ya, shots need to be more visible, and flying around adjusted or slowed. Fun game tho

The bullets do need to be more visible. Not a bad start, has potential.

Alright, new version up addressing exactly what you guys were asking for. The movement of the ship is now dampened so it slows down(making it look more realistic rather than just stopping but without bouncing all over) and the enemy shots are now much easier to see.

I'm trying it out right now. I'll edit my post with any thoughts I have.

Edit: Nice game the controls work nice though its a little too easy you fire so fast that the enemies really don't pose a challenge.

So far it was pretty fun. Looks like it could be a great game.
My only problems were the enemy bullets were hard to see, the game just seems to go forever without score/levels, and that's really all for now.
Multi player looks like it could be fun on this game.
