[RELEASE] 4ToWin (Stage 2)
Game Name: 4ToWin Stage 2
Creator: Dirk Nordhusen aka DiNoGames
Version: 1.0 (Final Stage 2 Release)
Improvements in this version:
Version 1.0 lets you replay a match when you lose.
The CPU's smartness grows a bit less.
Options menu has been adjusted a bit.
New menu background (title screen)
Description / Instructions / Anything you want to say:
This is a Connect4-clone.
In this Stage 2 release you can play against another player on the same Zune or against CPU.
The CPU match will start at level 1 which is very easy. After you won a round, the level increases and so does the Zune's smartness.
Stage 3 will include WLan matches.
Controls are very easy:
In the options menu you can select portraits for both players.
You can also turn music on/off there.
In the game you use the left/right direction buttons to slide the chip to the wanted position. Press down direction button to release it and it will fall down.
Once the game is over you will find yourself back in the main menu.

I am noticing a bit of a glitch I think. Don't you have to have 4, like, in a row? As in straight line? Because In the bottem left corner I had a stack of 3, then 2, then 1, side by side, and it said I won...

Yeah, I also noticed the same glitch. I tried to do it on the right corner but I didn't win right away. However, the following turn I dropped a coin on the column with two coins so that it looked something like:
XOO
XOO - (with O being the coins and X the free spaces)
OOO
And I won. So... yeah... you should try to fix that. Anyway, it's a good start. I like how the coins bounce after you drop them.

I think that I know the glitch that was mentioned earlier plus one more. If one player has the following spots they win.
O O O O O O O
O O O O O O O
O O O O O O O
X O O O O O O
X O O O O O O
X X O O O O O
O O O O O O O
O O O O O O O
O O O O O O O
O O O O O O O
X O O O O O O
X X X O O O X
I really do like this game

Can you please, for the colorblind kids like me, make the green discs black, like the original? I was staring at the screenshot confused, and it seems like a lot of games put red and green together..

I fixed the glitch and uploaded the fix. So just download again and you should really win only with 4 in a row
Stage 2 will hopefully be ready in the middle of this week. I don't know how smart the AI will be then, but I will try to make it quit a challenge to beat it.
Valgards fate is in deveopment besides this. Because I am currently making editor stuff, I have nothing to show and I just wanted to do something quick for you all to get another game on your Zune. Valgards fate will need quite a bit of time.

Where did you see the phrase "connect 4" within the game? The game is called "4ToWin"

The game looks good and I cant wait to play it, but when i try to deploy it to my zune i get errors such as "FourWins.InputState does not contain a defenition for CurrentKeyboardStates"
Let me know if you want/need more errors that it gives me. It currently gives me 12 errors.

It seems that I uploaded a fix that compiles the Windows version. Sorry for that. Please be patient one or two more hours. I have the Player vs CPU mode ready to go! Just some tweeks and I will upload the final Stage 2 version.
