Name: Beat Wave
Creators: ZNA (Greenskull, Khao, and myself) Description: Play music and collect falling notes. Uses the visualization as a background!!! For right now, you're stuck with only 10 lives. Version: Release 1 Updates in bold Features: Random Music Playback Visualization background(only start menu) Let a note slide past and the music stops... can you keep up? Lag fixed. Visualizer for start menu only.. makes there have less lag. touch controls fixed Music spawns with the music, difficulty settings added, i think there are a few other things that have been changed, it's been a while since i worked on the code, so i'm not entirely sure. ** I would like to note, playing in debug mode has some serious lag due to the visualizer. It works pretty well without being connected to the computer. I will fix the visualizer a bit tomorrow to kill the lag even more. No problem! I hope Greenskull won't get mad at me for releasing this already...
I wanted to get it out before others get games with visualizations and stuff, and he hasn't been on all day. I'm really excited about this... i feel really accomplished, let me know what everyone thinks! ![]() ![]() |

It's still in beta, we've got lots to do, and once you play you'll see what it is
you aren't strumming, or hitting them at a certain time. You just catch them before they hit the bottom... like a basket game. The visualizer and the other little effects make it more entertaining though, believe me. And then there's a little powerup type thing that gives you 10 extra points. I have some easy things i am going to do in the next few days, but i wanted to get this out here. Greenskull and I have been working on this thing for ages! (around when RRSD V2 game out--- speaking of which i have no idea when the next version's coming out, i want to get the high scores working before that.) ![]() ![]() |

nice concept although the lag is killing me, even when not connected to the computer. I took the liberty of making it a LOT smoother without giving anything up. You can find it at www.csc.calpoly.edu/~mwazny/TheBeat.zip

I realize that, not everything is there yet. It's still a fun time killer. Eventually the notes will be less random and more with music, once we figure out how to use the frequency and sample rates better.

The game has some potential... But you really need to work on the touch sensitivity, and make the musical notes have some correspondence to the music. At this point, it just seems like a random game of catch
But good luck so far |

Touch Sensitivity is coming really soon. Maybe (if greenskull gets on tomorrow) we can have another update with some added things to it. And the notes will do that.. eventually..
