i downloaded it but it doesnt work. it just crashes when i go to launch it. same thing with the user who said they changed it to fix some lag. cant wait to play it though. hopefully the next version will work.

Hmm... that's odd. I've not had any problems with it... I did a while back, but they went away. I had to delete the directory i extracted it to (like \beat wave or w/e) and then re extract it. Not sure why it did that, but doing what i did fixed it.

yeah, you should get WinRAR. Better support for all compression formats and better compression ratios

I wanted to get it out before others get games with visualizations and stuff, and he hasn't been on all day. I'm really excited about this... i feel really accomplished, let me know what everyone thinks!

you aren't strumming, or hitting them at a certain time. You just catch them before they hit the bottom... like a basket game. The visualizer and the other little effects make it more entertaining though, believe me. And then there's a little powerup type thing that gives you 10 extra points. I have some easy things i am going to do in the next few days, but i wanted to get this out here. Greenskull and I have been working on this thing for ages! (around when RRSD V2 game out--- speaking of which i have no idea when the next version's coming out, i want to get the high scores working before that.)

controls are the same. We haven't completely changed everything yet. (we did build this off of existing code, so some things will be similar, such as the game icon still.) a little bit of time in photoshop will change that.

it's a great game! it's just a few problem and i have a few ideas...

Problem: too laggy...
Idea: make it in rows instead so u can play it like guitar hero
Idea: make the drop rate same or close to the beat of the music?

overall is good, just way too laggy

you may or may not see the first idea. Lags already fixed and the spawning to the beat is currently getting worked on. I'm pretty close, just gotta fix things.

It works well on non touch zunes. and the controls are also getting fixed. Expect another update in like a day. maybe even later tonight, depends on what's going on.

A Quick Update: Due to lag, the visualizer will have to be removed. It is still going to act as the background for the Start Menu. Also, the other updates are coming along smoothly, and everything is much more polished (like the help screen and the icon for instance.) we are going to continue working on it throughout the next day until we get everything finished... and then we will release the update. (It could be coming tonight, I gave Greenskull the code he needed, so when he finishes adding his part, we'll be good to go.)
