[FINAL] Rock Rain SD - Page 2

i dont like it... i liked it more when it was using touch pad, and when you get hit you loose point instead of lives... and the download takes way too long. i'd really perfer the old rock rain but with shuffle my music thing.

ah.. the final version is released just as i was going to announce that i made it so that it shuffles through random songs on the zune device for the entire time you're playing.. i guess i could take this update and apply my feature.. but that would make the 16 songs useless...

**EDIT: Well, if anyone wants the original with the ability to listen to their own music, pm me... i will get you the files I made. It shuffles randomly like pong does.

EDIT #2: forget pm'ing me, i'm just going to upload everything when i am done

Once in game, pause it, hit the play/pause button. This is the only way to get the music to start for whatever reason. after that, the play/pause button changes tracks.

lol please do, people seem to not like the 16 songs and the 260mb.

wow, this keeps changing so quickly... ok guys, check back tomorrow.. i will take the updated file and remove the 16 songs, making it so you can shuffle your music in the background. also for those who do not like the update, i have the original with the music shuffle as well.

Yeah, I was going to ask for a zip of the game without the songs so I could change it myself, but if you're going to do it, even better!

well, so far i only found 15 of the 16 supposed tracks.. unless one's really small... so even though the file won't play, the last song might be stuck in the .zip i upload.. so sorry ahead of time

This game is great and could be a lot of fun....If touch was added. The graphics and menu are great and all but it needs touch ASAP, then it would probably be my favorite game on the Zune thus far.

I don't know anything about adding touch support.. the original has is, so i can try and look into it... but as for the music fix... I have run into a rather strange problem... I deleted the .mp3 files of the music.. but now i have .wma files of everything deploying to my zune. I can't find them in the folder, so i have to find out where they are coming from, until then the download is still going to be huge.

ok, I have finally completed the random music changes, and i changed the game pause from
the play/pause button to the center button in the new version, it makes things easier for the way i coded it. I'm going to make a new thread with both versions...

Awesome, I was about to download the final that you released, but I think I will wait until you make the new thread and I will try each version and see which one I like best.

Edit: Tried downloading the full version that is on this thread and it is taking forever. Link9228, are you going to put up the version with out the music tonight? If so, I am going to cancel the download.

Just so you know, I DID NOT make these games, I merely changed things from the way the originals were so people would be happy with them. I'm not skilled enough to make an entire game myself, well, not one that would be any good.

Idk if you did, and i'm still kind of confused about this, so was touch removed in the last version? If so, could you make a version without the sound but with the touch?

The touch appears to have been removed... I am going to try to put it back in, but i only have a z30, so I will need people to test my changes for me. If it all works well, both the z30's and the new-gen will work how they are supposed to.

Yeah, and you should be able to look at the coding for the touch for the first version, just replace that with the current stuff. I may not know much about XNA, but I can test it out for you if you want. My comp freezes when I even attempt to deploy the new one.. b/c of all the songs I think.

There's the version I uploaded without the songs, so after I try adding touch, I will re-upload it there, and you can try downloading that.
