Match 'Em v1.2.0.0 for the Zune. Updates listed below.

- Added High Scores
- Added Menus
- Made it so you can't swap unless it makes a match.

Score is based on the following formula..

Score += Count * 10 + (Count / 4) * 100 + (Count / 5) * 500

You get 10 points for each matched item, 100 for a string of 4 and 500 for a string of 5. Maximum possible score would be (10 * 10) + (2 * 100) + (2 * 500) = 1300 for a single match. That would be 10 in a row though.

I updated the game to have a thumbnail, description and better colors. I also fixed the grid's icon selection so that it will never give you a board with combinations already and it will never give you the same piece in a slot you just cleared.

I am still working on what I want to do for the objective and am looking for ideas, so let's hear them.

Here you guys go, just a rapid prototype. Made in about 30 minutes for you guys to play with while I figure some more advanced stuff out. I will have to stray away from Bejeweled's gameplay since that is IP infringement. Anyways, feel free to dig into and change the code.

Objective: Line up similar pieces in row or column with 3 or more.
Green Bar on the side is progress towards current level. Everytime you max it out it rolls over and gets harder. Yes, this game cannot be won!
How Many Moves: As many as your fingers can make.
Why Is The Sky Blue? I believe it has to do with how light rays from the sun reflect and refract off of Earth's atmosphere, but I could be wrong.

Its pretty neat but its hard to see the yellow part surrounding the one you are on. Maybe have it highlight the one you are on like it does when you click it, then change to a different color when you really do click it.

I agree... it is starting to hurt my eyes. Will change it for the next release!

Nice game especially for alpha stage! I really hope more people start making strategy games or any other kinds of games that do not rely on speed because the zune can be kind of awkward to play with sometimes in real time with the touchpad (except I do like the idea of pong and breakout-like games). Playing multiplayer strategy games wirelessly would be sweet!

The blue color of the sky is due to Rayleigh scattering. As light moves through the atmosphere, most of the longer wavelengths pass straight through. Little of the red, orange and yellow light is affected by the air.
However, much of the shorter wavelength light is absorbed by the gas molecules. The absorbed blue light is then radiated in different directions. It gets scattered all around the sky. Whichever direction you look, some of this scattered blue light reaches you. Since you see the blue light from everywhere overhead, the sky looks blue.

I'm sorry, but I couldn't figure out how to make the highlighter more visible. But, I did make the icons a little easier on the eyes and made the progress bar a prettier color.

Hmmm, well I can't play this game with the highlighter like this so I've mixed around the colours of the squares a bit, instead of them normally being white they're now green and the highlighter is white. You can see it a lot easier.

Did you use the original or the one I uploaded? Because I can't play it if it has such bright colors. :/
