I've gotten great massive helps in the GFX departments from the following people: Trogdor, Space Toast, stkr, and Charge.
I've gotten some code tips from Dirk (Dinogames)... But right now, Though I've got a few things for audio ... I need sound effects for my slot machine game.. I don't know who to ask, so I'm making this thread. I have collected a few clips of sounds I might use, but what I need is the musical tone most slot machines make during payout and / or spinning. I also would like an insert coin sound, and a generic button press sound. I think that's really all I need.. I THINK. I would have had MOST of this game done much sooner, if it weren't for the fact that my power cord for my laptop had died. Don't worry though, because I got a new one.
teehee...the gradient on the slots is the opposite of the way it should be...

WELL, I'm working on trying to figure out a problem in Highscore saving / loading.. Which is pretty much done, I'll just have to wait it out until the issues are resolved. I've already asked for help on it. Other than that, we have the following things left to be finished:
1) re-order the slot spins so that the left finishes first, then the middle, then the right. (also faster spinning)
2) write in the sound effect code... (sound effects have already been chosen)
3) add in the splash screen code, and tweak the bet display code so that it shows the current bet # even if the player hasn't adjusted it themselves (when the game decides that the max bet is below the current bet, it automatically adjusts the bet, but doesn't change the displayed bet.)

Highscore system is resolved. Problem was found and fixed with the helps of Red Sky and Itsnotabigtruck. They were both a great help.

a call to the binary write without disposing, but it wasn't terribly obvious. I needed truck to look at it before anyone really noticed it. Also: if I release it today, it won't be till later today. I have some work to do.
EDIT: A delay in my progress was caused by the work I was doing on Friday, July 3rd, 2009 (pacific time) resulted in my being dropped off at my parents' house without my netbook, and without my zune, and without my cable. Thus, I've been unable to work on this game since late thursday / early friday. I'll finish as soon as possible though.
update:
I'm about 97% done with the highscore display code, the actual highscore save / load code is completed.
