Ads are never a good thing in any game. It pisses off gamers. I don't know why you would need ads anyways, as I'm sure that you're making or getting all the components for free, correct? The only reason for ads is if you're getting funded from them...
Sorry everyone that I haven't given any updates lately. I really have not done a lot with it over the past couple of weeks. I have a lot of work that I have to do for high school first so if your expecting the game to get done in the next month. That's not going to happen. I will continue coding the game when I have some free time and right now thats not a lot.
I hope you've been working on things other than the menu. Menus are easy, and there's already quite a few prepackaged menu libraries (ZBlade, trucklib, and GameState come to mind). The hard part is the gameplay, and on that front it sounds like there's no change from the original version shutout dropped.

I'm really busy right now and I haven't put too much work into the game. I had the menu done in about a half hour. This game is not priority #1, I have other stuff that I have to code for my job. They thought it would be simple but decrypting a VIN number is very complex. Every year GM changes the format they do the VIN in. Right now the code is over 25,000 lines and thats because I have to put in every make and model of every car made from 1980. I have to also do my homework. So when school is out, I will have more time to work on this.

Ouch - I'd imagine that's not an easy task. I didn't realize you had so much going on.
