I know what you're thinking.
You gotta be kidding me, another idiot who just came here and thinks it's a piece of cake to create this game, I'm not going to even LOOK at this.
To be honest, I can sympathize with your lack of enthusiasm. Every time Pokemon pops up, there's an immediate "OH SWEET YAY" reaction with the occasional gripers about how its never going to happen, but the creator - note the lack of it being plural - seems to always fade off into the sunset.
Out of the many programmers attempting to create this, none have come close, exempting maybe the group of coders at Dark Zune. While I'm not going to come out and say they've given up - to the contrary, I think that they'll probably release it eventually - I've decided to take matters into my own hands.
Therefore, I am attempting to create a Pokemon game for the Zune.

I know it won't be easy, but I know it's possible. All we need is a team; a group of people willing to work. I myself have a fairly limited but still effective experience in creating backgrounds and sprites, though far less experience in the latter. A rough example of how the main characters bedroom would look is displayed below.
It's in landscape and standard Zune size, 320x240. Criticism is appreciated.
Anyways, I know that my experience in backgrounds isn't enough to even take a chunk out of the enormous weight to create this game. In order to create it, we would need:
Coders -

Prefferably with quite a lot of experience, with some knowledge of tile based RPGs. Up to three or so at most, the best come first. Obviously, with knowledge of C#, C++, the big languages.
Spriters/Background Artists -

The same amount needed as programmers, with enough experience to - well - make everything look pretty, of course.: p
Story-Line/Script Writers -

Just as it says, people to write the storyline, and scripts. I can do this if no one wants to, but to be honest, I think everyone participating will want a part in this.
Musicians -

Well, not neccessarily needed, but it would definitely be cool to have a custom Pokemon soundtrack. I'm a good guitarist, so I could definitely do some of this.
