Default Galactic Defense (+Thrust v1.1)


Might as well get the thread started before it gets started by someone else. This is a Zune adaptation of a Tower Defense game I made with 3 other folks that hang around in #xna. I am removing some stuff, adding some stuff and moving other stuff around.

Once I get some base level sorted out I will be able to punch out some core gameplay in a day or two.

This release is also bringing out a new release of FGF including Vodka and Thrust 1.1.

This belongs in Dev Discussions. Netrix can probably move it if and when the actual game is released.

Indeed. For now, it belongs in the Development Discussion forum. When you release it for people to download, I will move it to the Download Completed Games forum.

Probably a silly question, but i'm completely uneducated in anything to do with the creation of games, but how did you get that white input indicator (I presume that's what it is, could be entirely wrong :|) in the bottom right of your video?
I think there's something up with my zune pad and i think that might be able to help tell me what.

this looks really cool, cant wait to see it. Defense games are always good. Will there be a save feature?

I wrote two classes to do it for me. The one in the top left draws some colored bars based on how far you move the joystick on each axis. The one in the bottom right draws where you are touching based on the position of the joystick. It then remembers the spot and fades it out over time.

These two will be available to use in the next release of Thrust in the FocusedGames.Thrust.Diagnostics namespace.
