Talking [WIP] Project X - Zune 3D Shooter

I recently picked up some pseudo 3D Zune code from this forum and have added an animated sprite, target and a gun that has a fire animation. You can take a look a the "poor quality" video that I have posted here:

Sunaj Technologies (blog is still under development).

The next thing i plan to do is add collision detection to the code.

It looks really nice.
The movement is somewhat of a problem though.
It's going to be difficult to figure out how to actually get the movement to 'flow' with the Zune 30 d-pad on a fps like that.
|Also, nice iPod touch background you have there.|

ya there is definitly a minor speed bump with the flow, cos on the zune 80/4/8 theres different recognitions for how far over you are touching it
still looks good tho

Is this based off of RaycasterX or something else?

BTW It appears that your video bit it.

Thanks for the great comments! Yes, it's based off of the RayCasterX framework, although nothing with sprite animation or movement had been worked on.

The next thing to work on is a "collision detection" class that reports when two sprites intersect.

Keep you posted.

I'm glad you got it running. I still need some good sprite animation to work with. The sprites that I used, are icons i ripped off from a website Pixelgirl Presents Free Mac and PC icons, Desktops, iPhone Wallpapers and more! They probably need a license, so sprite dev will be important for mass deployment.

What's up with Zuneboards update? All of the sigs are useless! I'm going to try and repost.

I've updated the game with sprite animation. I plan on merging the animation with the targeting scheme. I'll keep you posted.
