Default My version of SharpNES Zune port...

My version of a Zune port of SharpNES (NES emulator). itsnotabigtruck kindly fixed the color and made it a bit faster.

No. I am not working on this anymore.
No. I will not help you with fixing any problems that it may have, unless you are a Zune Boards programmer.

This is for developers that might think that this will be useful to them. Currently this version runs between 7.5 and 10 frames per second.

You can get it here:

7-Zip - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It has supreme compression. You will need 7-Zip or IZArc. I recommend IZArc. It supports everything.

Can you open it with regular un-zipper? Also, everybody links me to wikipedia when I ask a question like this. Isn't that not a reliable source, because people can change the articles? Also, what is SharpNES (NES emulator)?

Does anybody know when the $zB store will be restocked?

Here's a modified version of Netrix' emulator that compiles and has accurate color:

DOWNLOAD NOW (.tar.bz2)

If you don't know what a .tar.bz2 is or don't know how to uncompress it, this isn't for you. It's getting between 7.5 and 10 FPS at the moment, so if you aren't planning on hacking it to make it any faster, THIS ISN'T USABLE.

You'll need to supply your own ROM to make this work. Drop it in the code folder and set Visual Studio to "Copy always". Mario 1 is recommended since it's one of the most basic NES games as well as the killer app.

Thanks, truck. I tried quite a bit to fix the color. I tried using integers, shorts, using the alternate palette that was commented out, and that was the best I could do. I will replace my link with yours.

You probably shouldn't bother with this.

I haven't altered any code but I'm wondering how to alter the controls so that the D-pad on the zune is; push left = Mario goes left, push right = mario goes right,

can play/pause be modified to accomidate the jump feature or no? If not maybe pressing up on the zune control pad is Jump...

If that's no good...is there a way to rotate the display so it's landscape/horizontal...like the solitare game?

This is what i have found in the controllerbutton.cs file

enum ControllerButtons : byte
{
None = 0,
A = 1,
B = 2,
Select = 4,
Start = 8,
Up = 16,
Down = 32,
Left = 64,
Right = 128

Edit the Controller.Map lines in XNASharpNES.cs. The latest source has this fixed, but it's also broken in many other ways.

Thanks, I think i just learned something here

It's runs "OK" with Metroid...Strange, no?

here's my altered code, if you want it..

Quote:
Controller.Map(Buttons.DPadUp, ControllerButtons.Up);
Controller.Map(Buttons.DPadDown, ControllerButtons.Down);
Controller.Map(Buttons.DPadLeft, ControllerButtons.Left);
Controller.Map(Buttons.DPadRight, ControllerButtons.Right);
Controller.Map(Buttons.A, ControllerButtons.A);
Controller.Map(Buttons.B, ControllerButtons.B);
Controller.Map(Buttons.Back, ControllerButtons.Start)
My next question is: Is it possible to have multi-button commands? Example: Button A+left, A+B, or something like that... My next goal is rigging up a select button...
