Hello, I just got my zune a few days ago and have immediately begun working on a project in XNA 3.0 so I wanted to show what I have started off to the community.
About
Remember the old days of the Tamagatchi? Those silly little hand held pets that you'd take care of and watch them evolve? Well now there back, and on the zune. Welcome to the world of ZMonsters (ZueMs)! ZMonsters is a game in which the user choses one of two starting pets, and then feed, takes care of, and watches their Zuem grow. Depending on how you treat your Zuem it will evolve into different Zuems so make sure watch over your Zuem or it may even die! ZMonsters fully takes advantage of the Zunes Wifi to enable users to play Coop mini games with each other allowing them to unlock new features solo.
Highlights:- Feed, Bathe, and Play with your Zuem
- Watch your Zuem grow through different stages of its life as a Baby, Teen, and Adult with different Zuems depending on how you treat your pet.
- Unlock special mini games to play with your Zuem through wifi multiplayer
- More features to come..
Progress
I started yesterday but have most of the framework put together already. At the moment your Zuem will idle around on your screen till it gets bored then falls asleep. I'm making pretty good progress so far. I only have one artist so please if you can do interface art or monster art I need your help. I'm a programmer, not an artist. You wouldn't even look at this game if I did the art.
Looking for Artists
Looking for an interface artist to develop the interface graphics for ZMonsters as well as creature designers who are creative enough to create monsters that are up to par with what I'm looking for.
Media
These are prealpha pictures I've taken awhile debugging the program just so you can kind of see the progress thats occurring as I write updates. Though you can't see it, the monster is running in idle animation mode and then after about 5 minutes goes to sleep.

While the media does look sub par, my one artist should be helping me draw the monsters now so it should change. I guess thats what happens when you have programmers draw interfaces and monsters in mspaint instead of actual artists.
