Zune needs wifi.

Real wifi. The ability to access the webz. It doesn't even have to come with a browser -- someone will make one, or port firefox to it (not really).

Why? Because Zune is currently positioned to be the Ipod killer. It has the media, it has the sex appeal, it has the better pricing. Community created games will offer users 1000s of free options within a year or two. Apple's newish game store could be trampled before it really gets momentum. But what makes the ipod touch better than the zune? ****ing wifi.

Its not like the technology isn't there... Microsoft just needs to be bold enough to open it up.

Opinions?

Yea, the zune does need better wifi... but, if you forgot already... the zune's wifi was made to "squirt" songs to friends, or other zune users!

Well seeing as the iPod Touch has a touchscreen and an overall bigger screen, It has an easy to use keyboard.
We have 7 buttons, a smaller screen, and no Touchscreen

The zune is an iPod classic, color, nano w/e Killer, but not an iPod Touch/iPhone killer.
They are on completely different categories for now.

Stop complaining, if you want a web browser that will have horrible typing capabilities, hack the zune and create the browser yourself

its not possible. zune can only import zune related things. this has been discussed many times and unless they release new firmware its not going to happen.

Please read here because this was JUST a topic of discussion.

I'm sure the "Zune Touch" or whatever the next version will be will be opened up to things like this, but not as it stands, and not as XNA stands currently. Someone close this thread please...
