Game development contest????

Hey guys and gals...

since we have a good amount of people here that are able to make games for the Zune, why don't we start a contest?

Maybe something like:

- Make a game related to a specific topic with X days, weeks, months.
- prizes? Hmm... Fun and fame? Or maybe Zunboards admins find sponsors? Microsoft for example?

I guess it would be fun... But we need organizers and of course a good amount of competitors....

What do you all think?

I like the idea, I'm just worried that it'll lead to many people spending more time working on a specific type of game and sort of putting off the projects they are presently working on. Otherwise though, sounds cool. I've yet to see a megaman clone pop up and that makes me emo...

I'll make up something just to add to the entries. Depends on the timeframe since I only have a couple of hours a night to do personal coding.

The Zcash stuff used on the forums could be a good prize. Can buy some nice stuff with it.

pst.. don't let anybody know. All the good stuff is gone from zunecentive. The only thing left are useless items and zune 8 ($4000zb). I know LPX has more items, but he doens't want to put it up just yet.

How about the contests last two weeks each with a set theme (not like Halloween or space, but like making gameplay soley based on the touchpad's capabilities or such)

That's kinda unfair to z30 owners. Should make them compatible with both gens or they would lose alot of votes from 30 owners.

I'd rather have better games than backwards compatible games. If we want good games, we better use what we have.

Well since zune 30 is faster than zune 4/8/80, It's also unfaire for zune 4/8/80owners.
