Default [WIP] Zune Shooter

First of all, all the graphics in here are placeholders. So for now I just took an image of a gun from Medal of Honor and some random brick texture I found online to use while I'm working on it. When I get closer I'll have someone make me some real art to use.

This video is on the PC at 60fps, but it runs on the Zune around 27-30fps. I'm going to optimize it some more before adding in things like enemies, multiple weapons, and items on the ground.

So what do you think?

Just saw this on youtube!! Figured you'd posted it here as well. looks amazing!! I've been wanting a game like this since XNA was released a few weeks ago. IF you can get some simple multiplayer working once it's finished.. this willl be the greatest game ever.

Thank Tiptup. It's his code that's running all this. I'm just taking it up a notch and finishing off what he started. After looking at the code, it might need some serious rewrites, so I'm spending the next day or two researching raycasting so I can understand it better. But hopefully that'll mean a faster game with more goodies in it.

SimReality:
Cool work! Keep it on. Personally I think 27-30 FPS is good enough for the Zune if it does not fall down much more when adding enemys, AI and such.
Keep it on and pls keep us informed

It's no real 3D. It's a software renderer. The Zune has no GPU, thats why we say it cannot render "real 3D". But this raycasting engine is the same technique the first Doom used. Doing this, of course, is possible. We just needed someone to make it! And as it seems Tiptup/SimReality can get it to work.

Wolfensteiny. I would be satisfied with Wolfenstein.

Looking forward to seeing how this develops.

YES
I hope you can have multiplayer mode! This game looks great. I love you.
Good luck with the rest of the project, I'm dying in anticipation.
