Someone is working on a top-down Racing game for the zune

It looks reasonable, but I would rather have a perspective (Pole position) style racing game on the zune... maybe I'll make one.. But nevertheless, someone has some real good work done on a Top-Down Racer.

looks like its just gonna be rock rain basically cept with a car instead of a spaceship and traffic instead of rocks. Now that I think about it I know a cool pole position-ish game that might work, ill see if i can find it.

Flash games are good for demonstrating ideas, and maybe to show graphics, but flash code is not compatible with the zune, and someone would still have to generate all the sprite code for it. Collision detection would be a nasty issue since perspective graphics = everything almost always touches. anyway, I'm going to probably try and think about a way to write the curves and turns in a track as data for a C# game, and probably work all the code as if it were a top-down game, and even have blank sprites for top-down style game, but have it drawn on the screen as perspective... using pre-rendered sprite graphics. If I'm going to do that, I have my work cut out for me.

A Pole Position game sounds really fun, I hope it is just as difficult as it was on my Game Boy advance SP.

is it possible to make this look like pole position, dont think zune supports 3d games, and most games are turn based. but this in a way isn't really 3D its almost a very high 2D or a Extremely low 3D.
