When you enter an application the current device sound level is set to whatever the Zune volume level was set to.
The SoundEffect.MasterVolume ranges from 0.0f to 1.0f relative to the current device volume. How do you set the "Current Device Volume". To test if it has been set, turn the volume to 0 before starting the application. The volume in the game will be at 0. Does anybody know how to get around this? I'm working on an Alarm Clock and this is kinda an important part of it if the person's volume was turned all of the way down or really low before starting it. ![]() ![]() |

But they can just adjust the percentage volume according to the current Zune volume. If the Zune volume is 0 then the game cannot output a single sound.

The next known release is the final release which is slated for 'Holiday 2008'. There is no other release scheduled and no specific date for the final release.
And yes, this issue should be taken care of by then (but, as with all things, no guarantee): http://forums.xna.com/forums/p/11510/68828.aspx#68828 |
