Willing to do graphics for games.

Hey, i love that Games are finally are available on Zune and I have downloaded alot of them but can't help noticing some of them haven't been polished a great deal, not so much in functionality but graphics.

I know Graphics aren't everything but they make the experience more enjoyable.

So I'm offering my skills to you the game makers, whether you don't have enough time to do the graphics or don't have the software, I'm open to your requests, if you need anything doing, say a menu graphic or title or anything, I'm happy to help.

Oh thank you, when i said "skills" I basically mean, I can use Photoshop effectively, not to brag but I think thats a good way of telling people of what your capable of, I don't want someone to think i mean MS Paint.

Haha. I have Adobe Photoshop (cs3) too. I'm not too good at using it. I am not a game maker or anything like that, but would like to know how to use it, but maybe you could give me some tips?

I've been using photoshop for well over 5 years now and all i can say is, just mess about, seriously i found out how to do stuff by just clicking and seeing what it did, its not like the computer is gunna blow up so you may as well see what it does, its probably not the best way, but i can make cool stuff and thats what you want right?

oh yeah forgot to mention, i don't want anything in return for graphics, i have alot of free time off at the moment so it'll give me something to do, so don't hesitate to ask.

The only way to learn how to use Photoshop is to either play around with it (though this isn't always the best way since you don't really have a goal in mind), or to just follow tutorials and develop your own style.

I completely agree. The games are fun but they aren't something I would want to show off because of their unpolished look.

What they need help with is sprite creation some of the best artist out there are skilled with ms paint. I could care less about a cool fancy splash lets see some nice sprites. I say you guys should post your artwork, portfolios, or just random things you made so the programmer can get a taste of your style.

sounds cool to me.

Thats one, i do alot of logo's for people but I'm versatile.

I'm also good with Photoshop. I primarily make logos, although I haven't done so in a while, but I occasionally make banners. I don't use Willzay's more contemporary style, but if you need something shiny or rough with a bit of detail, I guess I'm available.

I'll post some examples when I can.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, I'm also decent at pixel art, so I can do sprites depending on the difficulty.

EDIT2: I'll post two examples, one logo, and another thing I made by screwing around.

Note: the logo is almost a year old, so it's not very representative of my current ability.

I too am mildly skilled in graphics design, I have been interested by digital artwork since age seven and have been advancing for nine years now (I am now sixteen).
I have experience in Photoshop, MS Paint, Paint Shop Pro... I'm familiar with alpha channels and transparency.
My first endeavors in graphics design were for simple 2D games not unlike those being developed for zunes presently. I made little sprites and doodads for what used to be a fun game called Graal Online. More recently I've done tilesets and little skins for Warcraft III.
Not that I think I'm superior, but rather lazy, I would like to contribute only to games concepts I personally find very intriguing ^_^
