Ok, I have zero expirience in programming, but I am going to attemt to build Uno for the zune, or Zuno. I have created to sprites, which is the easy part, now I have to set up the gameplay, and it will probably take a long time, or a few weeks, and hopefully by then someone will have figured out how to include multiplayer. I will report on my progress when I can, and I will try to make this work!

yea, if you're feeling overwhelmed the people around here would love to help i'm sure. learning a whole new concept (programming) and then making a working game that is good will be hard in just a few weeks.

This is a link to the card designs, though simple, are nice. What does everyone think? also I have them separately cut out and in different files already, just what I started with.

The sprites look nice.
Hows your design coming? I would suggest a matrix of integers [different cards][different colors] and a simple integer method of keeping track of them. -2 = removed from game (i havent played uno in a while, can cards be removed?) -1 = on field 0 = in deck 1-x = in that players hand I hope this helps.

I think I will give each card a number and have like 1=1,2,3,4... but not=15,16,17,18... a system like that...

I remember that game! It was actually quite fun, but then Blackjack, Poker and other games came along...

By your self, Absolutely not, but once I can get this game running(if I can) hopefully the secrets of multiplayer will be unlocked, but if not, I may try to dig a little deeper into it so that you can play uno with others who have a zune, like at school, or something... maybe the bus?

Yes, I realized that shortly after I wrote it, and after going through some tutorials, I am going to throw the multplayer pack into the game and go from there. Progress level= .25% not going well, but have been too busy to have a solid amount of time to work on the game.

Here's some ideas I would consider when creating your card game.
Create an class for your cards. This class will have a property for color and value. Put all your cards into a list object temporarily. Make a loop and pull a random card from the list and put it in a Stack object. That's your shuffle. You will have one stack object for draw cards and one for discards. During play, either take one card from the players card list and push it to the discard stack or pop one card off the draw stack and put it in the players card list. When the player gets a Draw X, just pop the number of cards off the discard stack and put them in the players card list. You're probably fine with the logical flow of the game, I'm just pointing out some of the .NET objects you'll want to use. Some of the terms I use might be unfamiliar to you if you've never programmed. You'll have to look up the terminology on your own.
