Default Garbage Collect

I am not to familiar with C# but i know how garbage collect works in other languages.
Would it be possible to use garbage collect instead of forcing a restart?

I haven't heard the DRM issue before, but its likely that by restarting, the zune OS can avoid confusion within the system (why fix something when you can just renew it).

I doubt the main xna running software is ran in C#, it would probably be in C++ rather.

Garbage collect wont fix this. I think this issue has been beated dead. The restarting is a bug of some sorts, or a limitation we can't fix or go around.

The restarting isn't a bug. It is currently a restriction placed on games by the Zune itself. This may or may not be resolved in the future and at the current time there is no official (read: from the XNA team) explanation that I'm aware of as to exactly what it is. Regardless of why it happens, it will continue to happen and there is nothing your game can do to change this.
