It's been 8 days since I recieved a song from my friend. It is still in my zune, and it still says I have "3 plays and 1 day remaining." Wtf happened? :LOL:

Have you actually tried to play it yet? Maybe the Zune is trying to lure you into a false sense of hope before crushing it beneath it's steel-clad foot.

I think I know what happened. On the main directory of your Zune, there is a file with the sender's name on it. I renamed that file, and somehow, the counter was reset. However, a new file was created again with the senders name. I looked at the newly created file, and the date created was 12/3/06, which would make sense. It's been 2 days since the new file was created--so I have 1 day left. Awesome.

Probably 5 or 6 kids at my school beside me have one that I know of. It's really starting to take off in my area.
My brother, who's in a band that tours the US and Europe just bought one too.

Yeah... I've gotten some looks on the subway when I pull mine out and mess with it or watch a video, but it seems like I'm the only one so far. It's NYC though... I remember how many people had Video iPods after christmas last year as compared to before. again, maybe I'm crazy, but I always wanted Zune to have the capability to blink,make a beep, or pull up a window when its in the vicinity of another Zune. so you know if your around another Zune.

i mean how many of us are actually in the community button , looking around for people. it would make things easier than actually do something with "Welcome to the social" idea

Many people, myself included turn the Wifi off in order to conserve power. I will onlyturn it on if/when I have the need to transfer a song, and then promptly turn it off.

So, you never know how many "stealth" Zune's there are in your midst.

I have yet to see ANYONE else with a zune at my school. i've only had like 2 people actually recognize my zune for what it is. they say things liek "Woah is that that new thing?" meaning they have prolly seen the commercials. most people go "woah what is that thing?" meaning they are clueless. damnit.

I don't think the wifi is completly turned off. I think that it isn't active transmitting. maybe we can make an applet that will seach for Zunes with wifi turned off?

I totally know what you mean, some of my friends are wanting to buy new mp3 players to replace their old, breaking ipods.Â�*Â�*I got the exact same comment:Â�*Â�*"Woah is that that new thing?" with their mouths open, almost at the brink of drooling, lol.Â�*Â�* Funny thing is, I start promoting it like if it was a candy drive for my school...hehe I even got the comment, "What is that delightful piece of chocolate you have there?"
