Alright the title maybe slightly misleading, as I already know what a zune is, but im not 100% clear on the capabilites of it.
I plan on getting one for christmas, but ive heard somthign things like after I get music and put it on my zune, I can only play it 3 times or somthing? I was wondering if I had to BUY music off of the Zune Marketplace in order to put it on my zune and listen to it. I currently have over 10k songs downloaded via bittorrent, and P2P networks. (LimeWire, BearShare, WinMX), would I be able to play those files on my Zune? I also plan on getting Pirates of the Carribean 2: Dead Mans Chest for Christmas, and I was wondering if there was anyway I could transfer the DVD to my Zune, while still allowing the DVD to play in my DVD player. I was wondering if i HAVE to use the Zune Software in order to put files on the zune. I know you had to use iTunes with the iPod, but is it the same case here. Also with the iPod, there was a program called vPod, and it allowed to to put music on your iPod without using iTunes. Im on a very lowgrade computer and cant handle that much on it. I saw that you guys were able to allow yourselves to be able to use the Zune as a Mass Storage Device. Congradulations. I was wondering, after I make it to were I can use it as a MSD, can I still use it as it was intended? Am I able to drag and drop music files into the Music folder and be able to listen to them? Now im new here, and havent read many threads, but im used to being on other forums, and this would constitute, as a minor wall'o'text. So for those of you that hate to read. Sorry! =) Get back to me ASAP please. ~System-Root |

Alright, but there is currently no other way to put music on my Zune other than the Zune software. Not to say that there wont be in the near future, as im sure there will, but that kinda sucks, as im on a slow computer, 1.7Ghz processor, and 128MB of RAM. How do you think my computer will be able to handle to software, it handles iTunes ok, I guess.
Also, I dont know the first thing about riping dvds, do I just drag and drop, or will I need a particular software? Could I use the Zune software to sync it or would I need to rip it with a certain software, then like re-code it or somthing and then sync it with the Zune software? Thanks, ~System-Root |
