Default Zune doesnt play mp4's?

Does zune not play mp4s? it only plays wmv's? it takes like 3 hours to convert 1 movie from mp4 to wmv. Is there a way i can make it play mp4s?

Use the multiple extension hack, i am certian .mp4 work anyway as standard, but maybe they dont. Anyway, wmv is better, mp4 dont hold meta data very well (or at all).

Yeah mp4's don't work. I have the cucusoft ipod converter and it omly converts to mp4, somone recomended it to me on this board. I converted my movies to mp4 and then put them on my zune syncing list and to my disapointment it started converting them....AGAIN.

the actual Zune device ONLY supports wmv vids, and there's pretty much nothing you can do about that. the Zune SOFTWARE will accept mp4, as well as other types with the multi-extension hack, but it takes time to convert.

If you are attempting to go DVD to Zune, this can be very troublesome.
There is a program on this site which will rip AND convert to wma automatically.
Search around for "cucusoft" You should be able to find it somewhere here. . . .

Best of wishes.
