Can you unlock your car via a phone call?

I once heard about this from a friend about a year ago, but I have no idea if it's true or not. Does your car have a remote keyless entry?

Apparently if you "lock your keys in the car" you'd be able to do the following:

- Call someone who has the remote at home
- Hold your cellphone close to the car door
- Have the call recipient press the "unlock" button.
- Success?
