The new Zune had better rock!

'Cause looks like Apple is gearing up to release a new iPod that will be much like the iPhone without the phone part.

Looks like the best advertising Apple could have done for the iPod was with their $1000 cell phone. Microsoft better release something sweet....or.....I don't even want to imagine......

Oh yeah I heard about that, I personally don't think it will be a big hit because I personally only bought a Zune over an iPod for the movies, if I wanted a mp3 player just for music I probably would have just gotten a nano, which is what I think a lot of others will do

If Apple comes out with an iPod with a true Widescreen display like the iPhone and is no more then $300, I'm sold.

you can get the zen w screen for just over $300, why not get that?

Its too bulky. I basically want the iPhone, without the phone. And at least 20GB-30GB of space.

If Zen is $300, then you KNOW the iPod will be around $350 - maybe more. Apple is notorious for their insane pricing. The iPhone only costs $250 to make parts and labor - and I think that could be reduced....and they still sell it at $500 to $600 for over a 50% return! Apple's greedy....

Compared to Microsoft who takes a hit the first couple of years on the hardware to get people to buy into the applications of the device (i.e. Xbox and Zune). Xbox is just breaking even now and Zune is in the red and is expected to stay there for a while....

Right when i had my zune for 2 months....some new ipods are coming out and zune is falling wayy behind
