Default Screen Protectors

I have a Boxwave screen protector on my T-Mobile MDA and was pretty upset when they didn't have one for the Zune yet... so I did a little research and finally settled on Shieldzone's Zune screen protector and I am extremely happy with it. The application was simple and it comes with a spray bottle so you can clean it and reapply it it gets too dirty for some reason. The Boxwave type protector is a more firm almost glass-life screen protector while the Shieldzone is a flimsy more rubber screen protector. Once Boxwave finally wakes up I may upgrade to one o their protectors but for now I am happy with Shieldzones... my only real gripe with the Shieldzone is since it has a plastic feel to it the surface isn't as easy to keep clean compared to the glass-like Boxwave but overall I can't really say anything bad about it.

Anyone else out there test out some Zune screen protectors? Let us know!

I really don't think there is a need for a sceen protector, since the screen barely gets scratched.

After a few days of use I started to notice faint scratches in my screen so I decided to get a protector. If you throw your zune in your pocket like I do it will eventually be scratched up, you don't notice them right away but hold your Zune up at an angle against direct light and faint scratches are probably there if you use it normally. I use my Zune in my car (through the cassette deck, haven't made the plunge for the FM transmitter yet) and it sits in my cup holder and sloshes around a bit when I drive (I drive a sports car :-p)... so yeah, it is a must for someone like me.

If you are one of those who treats your Zune like royalty then yeah you probably don't need one, but I think the majority of users use their's "on the go" and don't take the time to make sure their screen is free of any jagged edges. This is my 7th MP3 player so I don't exactly take the best of care of my devices... my others didn't break, just sold them to upgrade, plus I wasn't happy with them. I bought screen protectors for all of them and I know it greatly improved the resale value on them if I hadn't. One thing I LOVE about the zune is the case is scratch resistant compared to the extremely scratch prone iPods.

I found a Zune specific protector at Virgin today. It was a little pricey (no surprise for Virgin) but look pretty good.

This was the first display I saw as well (not just a few Zunes bolted to a counter) - very cool.

So far so good with the shieldzone screen protector. The circuit city I bought my zune from had the display pictured above, although theirs was in a horrible spot, a shelf about two feet off the floor.

You can also get the Best Skins Ever product which is identical more or less to the Invisible shield. They do not have a Zune specific one yet but they have sheets you can buy to cut out screen protection. Link is:

http://www.bestskinsever.com/servlet...-To-Fit/Detail

Also, it's only $7 and will yield multiple protectors should you need/want to replace. They ship fast as well. Just another option that is available...

I just bought a full body Zune Shield at Shield Zone. 'll probably see it next week and then I'll apply it. I'll be sure to post a testimonial after I've used it for a few days.

i bought the Belkin one. It works, but for $15 THERES ONLY ONE!!! After i found that out i was real pissed, but i was to lazy to order some, so i just ate it.

I am using screenGuardz on my pda phone right now. I am happy with its quality and they send you several protectors for about half the price.

That's a nice case. I need to get a DLO. I have a belkin but belkin makes it bulky so I didn't like it. I took it off and use the pouch. I am considering selling it...Does the DLO add any bulk to the device overall?

I myself want to get a belkin, preferably the leather one that has a belt-clip, but I'm also considering an armband for when I'm in the gym or running or something (but a belt clip just feels more manly for some reason). I am still going to use the invisibleSHIELD from shieldzone, so I don't think my zune will ever be harmed!
