I lost all my halo vids, pics, ect....

OMG, I just got this freaking halo 3 zune and when i put it on my computer, all the freaking halo 3 data is deleted. I cant find it anywhere. Its not on my computer or on my zune. I paid $250 for it all! How can I get it back???? Thanks. I need help.

haha same here. i had just finished reformatting my desktop and was anxious to put some stuff in it and stuck it on my laptop. now, all the content is gone haha

this happened to my freind too. he asked me to try to find a way to get it back.
could you upload the files in a zip folder to a filehost such as rapidshare or something so that we can get them back?

yeah it happend with my normal zune,all stuff on it got deleted when i put my stuff,but then again im glad cause all it suckd haha,but all that halo id be pist,how do u prevent this i wonder

honestly though, i would have rather had a black zune, but my friend was ranting and raving about the content. I saw some videos. it was cool. I like the design though, so even though i lost the content, i'm not necessarily bummed out.

Its a nice solid player though. i likes

You lose all of the preloaded content when you sync any brand new zune. Happened to me.

I disagree. I had my preloaded contents for months before I decided I got bored of them. Your Zune probably did a hard reset on itself or something.

If anyone can please rip the Halo preloaded contents and upload them, that'd be very helpful for those who lost them.

no no this is completely my fault anyways. Here's what happened:

1) Formatted my virus infected desktop. Using my laptop for now
2) Bought Zune
3) Drove home in excitement
4) Get home, too anxious, install Zune software into laptop and sync Zune into music-less laptop
5) Fix desktop
6) Install zune into desktop
7)Zune asks: "Do you want guest priv. or do you want to sync to this computer and delete files?" I assume "Oh, Halo 3 stuff is preloaded. I should be able to recover using the CD, or its embedded into the Zune, rendering it protected."
8) Sync Zune, bye bye Halo stuff

Come to find out, its not even on my laptop either haha. Oh well haha. This usually happens when i'm too anxious and don't read up on something.

By the by, my friend has his Halo stuff intact, so I'm going to go see if i can rip his and upload it or something

I got all my Halo stuff. Except for the music. I deleted those on purpose. Videos, and pictures, I kept them. You guys had to have done something wrong.

they did nothing wrong, they just had a zune already... is my assumption

mine says connect as guest
or sync and format player
(returned old one to walmart and got the halo3 one)

so some of the data i could rip in guest mode, but i cant get it all off -.-
all the halo stuff came off, but i dont know if i want to sync it lol

Hey you guys did nothing wrong - the problem is, there is no warning to tell you NOT TO sync the system. I called the IDIOTS over there and they informed me that you WERE SUPPOSED TO CHOOSE GUEST. Yeah , well duh after the fact. The problem is the manual is on the CD and the warning says "IF THE SYSTEM WAS PREVIOUSLY SYNCED THAT IT WILL DELETE THE DATA"

But in my mind previously synced means to one of my machines, not to the factury. I'm pissed, because I only go the Zune for him for the Halo stuff, some of those pictures were new and not on any sites - this is going back to the store if I cannot get that data restored.

I ran into a similar issue. I installed the zune software on my laptop and couldnt get market place going so I decided to unistall zune software and re-install it. Next thing I new the software was asking if I wanted to sync as a guest or delete the content that was on my Halo zune. No way in hell was I going to delete my Halo stuff! I called the zune support and they told me to try and copy over all the Halo stuff, (which they didnt know if it was going to work), to my pc through the Zune software. Surprisingly all the Halo content transfered over, but the other pre-loaded data did not so that was lost once the zune reformated. After all that I still cant get into market place! Anyone else having the same issue? I need some help!
