I don't see where they see the idea that they can just kill off important characters in the series for drama. Last I remember Venom doesn't die, Harry doesn't die, Brock was an ex-football player, and not scrawny. I mean it's cool that they want to spice it up a little bit to add some flavor, but that is just plain ruining it. This isn't only in Spider-Man by the way. Anyone remember X-Men 3? Last I remembered Wolverine never lays a hand on Pheonix, let alone kill her. Professor X is in the comics longer than Magneto. I'm going to see one more movie, which I am sure will dissapoint me, but when it does I will not purchase another full priced movie ticket to support Marvel again. I realize that doesn't seem like a big threat, but I see movies religously, three a week or so, I don't miss anything that has a remote chance of being good. If you are wondering what movie I'm talking about, it's the next Incredible Hulk, and trust me, I saw the first one, and know it sucked beyond imagination, but Edward Norton is in it. If Edward Norton can't save Marvel, who can?
/lol Nicholas Cage (Ghost Rider) |

whoa whoa WHOA its like you are asking people to disagree people like me
You are remembering different universes of spider man for example in the original spiderman he is bit by a radioactive spider not a genetically enhanced one and his first enemy was vulture. Eddie brock was his best friend growing up (he was regular size not scrawny) and the suit symbiote was found by spiderman on a ship coming back from space. in extreme spider man the suit is Dr. Brock and Dr.Parker's (Eddies and Peters dads) suit to cure cancer but then both doctors died and left it as their inheritance to eddie and peter. Peter gets it first, ends up coming off and going to eddie NEXT, please do not talk about The Hulk, they did damage that character, however Nicholas Cage was a good actor for ghost rider though someone like matt damon might of ben able to do better. now X3 had more liberties taken than SM3 but how else would you end such a good series then with death any way just plain and simple if you do not like marvel movies and do not watch them you are making a mistake

Yes, they did deviate quite a bit from the orginal comics/TV show. But really who the hell wants to see Vulture as the first villain? Not me for one. They only used the most memorable enemies from the comics as villains which I understand. The Green Goblin was an acceptable 1st villain.

well, here's something to think about. if everything were made just like the comics books and old shows, why would watch it on a movie screen? you would know everything that is going to happen and would probably waste your time watching it in the first place.
just my 2 cents |

In the same sense, why are most movies made? They are based on books. I'm not saying they have to follow it exactly, I'm saying they shouldn't kill off whoever they please just for a little drama. And who says all these series have to "end". Just because it's a trilogy? I mean come on. A lot of movies leave the story hanging, and never make sequels, it's just presumed they are going to keep doing what they do, and what happens will keep happening. Lastly, Nicholas Cage doesn't fit the discription of Ghost Rider, nor is he a good actor. He used to be, but now he has that "nothing is important" attitude, where he stays with one emotion the whole movie.

in the comic ghost rider is emotionless and he hold rapists be their throughts over the edge of skyscrapers Nicholas Cage is emotionless in the movie and suits the part

He falls in love with the chick, and acts as if it is just a 2$ whore form the corner. I mean, when he is in the Ghost Rider form he shows no emotion, which is good, but Nicholas Cage doesn't really do the acting for that though, cgi etc. I mean, you've got it coming from two parts here. He's not supposed to show love, but he falls in love, which is an emotion, yet Nicholas Cage fails to show that.
