Dont Buy Gas May 15th!

Surprised i havnt seen this thread yet

Anyways

n April 1997, there was a "gas out" conducted nationwide in protest of gas prices. Gasoline prices dropped 30 cents a gallon overnight.

On May 15th 2007, all internet users are to not go to a gas station, in protest of high gas prices. Gas is now over $3.00 a gallon in most places.

There are 73,000,000+ American members currently on the internet network, and the average car takes about 30 to 50 dollars to fill up.

If all users did not go to the pump on the 15th, it would take $2,292,000,000.00 (that's almost 3 BILLION) out of the oil companies pockets for just one day, so please do not go to the gas station on May 15th and lets try to put a dent in the Middle Eastern oil industry for at least one day.

DONT BUY GAS MAY 15th!!

alright. i wont. i agree with high gas prices though. friekin gas companies milking the customer for every cent. yes some facts are beyond their control, but not all.

Well the 15th is a Tuesday, and I usually get gas sometime during the weekend, so I'm good.

I won't be getting gas that day. I'll probably be sleeping for a while, and playing games. Gas prices are getting pretty bad. I'm not too mad, but then again I don't drive much, which is why I am supporting the 'cause - for the future.

Sounds like a plan to me, although I doubt this will have any effect on gas prices.

The thing is that even if people don't buy gas on Tuesday, they'll still have to buy it eventually, effectively nullifying any loss they got on the 15th. Hell, if they themselves know about this, then I'd laugh if they bumped up the price 10 cents or so and screwed anyone who participated.

I won't buy gas, but I have little hope it will work.

MSNBC is never a reliable source, MSN would do anything for money. I wouldn't be suprised if MSNBC was paid by a large oil companies just to LIE.

lol... you don't understand the point of may 15th... I think the official name of that day is: National Ride you boke to work day.... or something like that.

It's not just "don't buy gas that day then buy it later day"
You're not even supposed to drive that day.

Ya know i was thinking about this, if you dont buy gas on a certain day its not really gonna hurt the gas companies, cause what is everyone gonna do the next day, or the day before? there gonna buy gas. its not doing anything
