i laughed quite a bit at this article. it seems to be the attempt of a desperate iPod fanboy clinging desperatley to minor flaws in order to save face of their iPod. i feel regretful in attracting so much traffic to this article, but the iPod trolls are really need to be countered. i've already ripped this article on my own website, and yet i don't seem satisfied. who knows how many people read that bs and go "OMG IPOD REALLY IS THE COOLEST GAWRSH L0L!!"
the actual article may be full of accuracy (save the video myth, someone should remind this idiot that zune comes preloaded with video to begin with) but its missing practicality. who the hell cares about such minor faults that this guy is banking upon to make the zune look like a laughing joke. its not meant to replace a tv or a computer, its just a frickin MEDIA PLAYER.
but thats why iPod fanboys care so much. to them, its not 'just a media player,' but a personal attack on their goddess of music. nothing is more obnoxious than the typical iPod fanboy, who feels compelled to shove his iPod under everyones nose. their ipod is their religion, god and savior, a beacon of light in a dark tunnel. sure some people say 'they only like it so much because obviously it gives them what they want' and yet they fail to see that MOST other media players give the same functionality and utility. iPod fanboys have just been tooled to believe that their iPod is a gold brick, by mass advertising and gimicks. Hell the frickin commercials looks like you've just had an extacy pill. which mp3 player really needs that much advertisement for christ sake?
The most probable cause for ipod fanboys storming to their keyboards has got to be the fact that for the first time, iPod's monopoly over the mp3 world is in danger. whether they like it or not, zune will make an impact and force apple to work harder. its full of attractive new features that iPod did not bother picking up on, and thats apples fault. if we, the consumers didn't give them such a monopoly over the market, maybe they would have put more features and beneifits into their product rather than trying to save productions costs and revenue.
the world once again shall be divided into 2. not between pepsi or coke, but zune and iPod. the axis versus the allied pick your side, for evil or for good. im just kidding, bu expect there to be an epic battle between microsoft and apple once again, new exciting features being thrown around and lower prices for all of us. even ipod fans gotta give zune some credit, its gonna force the market to come out with many new features that all of us can enjoy.
as for the article, its a pathetic knee-jerk reaction that apple has conditioned iPod loyalists, and its disgusting to watch. cover it up.
