What's up with the Zune lately?

Well, Microsoft hasn't really updated the Zune since Christmas and has received bad press. All these nice products being talked about the Zune might happen, but what about the Zune itself?? It hasn't been updated since 3 months and Microsoft has not posted any new news on what MIGHT be in firmware 1.3. I don't see any new commercials about it. Commercials and billboards usually get people aware of a new product and what it is all about. If it doesn't past the street, then how will Microsoft be able to market it? This is exactly why the Zen Vision:M failed, because they didn't have enough consumer awareness. I hope it doesn't flop because I paid a well amount of money for it. :-[

well we're all in the same boat. anxious for updates or some news.

one thing you can count on is Microsoft not running away from the Zune, due to the amount invested. waiting is definetly hard. i would like to see some updates for sure.

i sometimes check out the zuneguy.com . that dude is on the zune team supposedly and has been around for some time.. also the same thing applies for zuneinsider.com . he is on the team as well, i'd definetly check out their blogs ..one of them actually talks about firmware updates.

Microsoft will not give up on the Zune, trust me. It may seem like money is not an issue for Microsoft, but the Zune team has limits on how much they can spend.

As for the firmwares, I expect one to be released very soon.
