Default first html attempt

can you guys critique it. just unzip and open index.htm and browse from there.

dl here:

http://rapidshare.com/files/14810285...alace.zip.html

i know its not much but the sad part is that incorporates EVERYTHING we have learned in my html class yet, its been a month already(it actually has more than we've learned if you count making the text white)

1) great first attempt if you did this all in html.

that having said, sky is the limit when it comes to web design. if its your first time designing anything and you have a general common sense when it comes to colors, use Macromedia Dreamweaver.

2) Think Dreamweaver as an application that makes designing easier. you can also edit html in there.

3) Look around the web, for inspiration.
4) Stay away from Black. as much as its a general color.
5) instead of creating simple hyperlinks, use Dreamweaver to create menus.

good luck

Looks cool for a straight text made HTML, must've taken a while to get all those wallpapers int here :P

Dreamweaver is so much easier, just make sure you use frames and not tables like they tell you (like they told me).

After you learn HTML, I highly recommend learning Adobe Photoshop. From there, you can create any design you want, and then slice it into an HTML page.
