Okay, dumb question probably, but oh well, is it a possibility for PC > Zune, Zune > PC interaction with a ZIM for the PC? Meaning, normally you can sync over your wifi, if there was a ZIM for your PC, could you use the sync function to talk to the Zune user?

My request is because:
During classes at the University, we use wifi a lot, but the speed is so slow, we can't chat without a 2-3 minute lag time, so would Zune to PC be an option and better?

Not possible yet. Probably never.

But if you REALLY need long range you can take your zune apart and attach an antenna. (I strongly suggest you do not do that )

hmm... looking at smile.cs, it'd probably be easy to add or edit emoticons. i think i'll add a few and fix the spelling on the "tongue" one. hope you don't mind, as long as i don't publicly distribute it or anything :P

however, i'm guessing that the images are inserted when the message is recieved, which means that i better make sure that i deploy the same version to my friends XD

Do what you want, as long as you acredit me I don't care.

I plan on making one more version, fix and add some I guess. Fix any remaining errors and have the smilies appear on the keyboard.

Its all fake, no matter if other people have used it and said it works.[/sarcasm]

Are you sure you were using the same app? Its app to app, not zune to zune, you cant have different apps.

hey, i just had an idea. overall speed is slow right now, but i think i can help with the typing part. right now, we have a keyboard that can require half a dozen or more clicks to find a letter. by my logic, we could have 64 characters at 3 clicks each, no matter what the last one you typed was.

has anyone played quest 64? if not, grab an n64 emulator and try it. anyway, to access its spell menu you press one of the four c-button directions to select a category, then press another to access a second menu which has four spells you can choose (after you're maxed stats and have every spell, anyway). that sounds confusing, but basically it ends up as pressing 3 directions for a spell. up-up-up is one spell, up-down-right is another. 4^3 or 64 possible combinations... :P

of course, you could argue that it would be hard to find the letter you needed. however, i argue that texting on phones wasn't intuitive at first either. i think it would work out a LOT better than the current system.

wow that's a long post. what do people think? i don't know any of the xna very good, or else i'd try it... :P

EDIT: of course, that might be weird on the gen 2 zunes and their fancy touch-stuff. personally, i have a 30 anyway...

EDIT^2: omegagames had the same idea in a thread in the development discussions. ... i guess great minds think alike 0_0

Yeah, a better typing system can be made, honestly I probably won't implement it on this app anytime soon.

@zep make sure you don't both launch at once. Have one launch it then wait till it says new chat started and then launch it on the other, or else they both look, see no rooms and make one at the same time.

This is prolly a really stupid question and was prolly already asked; but...

You know how computers can crash because of bad downloads and such?
Well; can this app; or any of these apps crash a Zune? Is it even possible to do that?

Because; I think is would be pretty rad to text from a Zune; and teachers can't take it away; because it's not a cellular device.

But; I'm really worried because I crashed three computers in less than two years due to worms and trojans and such.

So; can these/this applications crash a Zune or make it work improperly?

No, there is no virii for Zune because with the Zune, just hold back and the game stops running. With trojans and viruses the problem is that the virus isn't easy to close and they can run in the background without your knowledge, they can't on the Zune.

Zune games are safe, 99.99% guarantee

I never thought of it that way...
That's a good point;

But; per say the Zune did get something; how would one know? Just by the app not closing?

I'm sorry if I'm annoying; It's just that I bought the 8OGB and it's like; my life right now; and I got my boyfriend one too; and I don't wanna ruin both of them...

Um, I have no idea what would happen because there's no way for it to happen...

That holding back resets the Zune is built in much lower than the game has access, so the only way that wouldn't work is if something happens like your button breaks off...

Hrmm... Okay; I trust you;
Now; is there a way to delete the apps if you decide otherwise on them?

Because; I'm totally confused on how to install them and remove them and work them...

http://www.zuneboards.com/forums/zun...your-zune.html

Basically, Download Visual Studio, download XNA, extract the zip file, double click the file ending .sln, plug in your Zune, give it a sec, then in Visual Studio go to Build-Deploy solution
