Pretty cool I guess, but yea pretty useless to me, though it may help others.
Can you set important dates on this?

Good point, you wouldn't want to type with a zune 80/48/30 a bunch of info...
So yea, good job, but I don't see it useful to me...

I agree with you. By itself, this program doesn't do much to warrant downloading it and installing it on a zune. However, it definetly would be nice if something like this were added to the clock apps that are out there.

Wow, lets all lighten up. We are all trying to learn the language, and this is just another way of getting use to sprites, and controls.
quentin - I applaud your work. What we are trying to do here is make the zune a more all in one solution, clock, calendar, maybe even to-do list. Its all possible, and useful. It isn't necessary to say "usless" or "needs work", just lighten up and realize he is posting this to help others and share what hes created - not get yelled at.

This is exactly one of the things that my friend and I are trying to work out doing. But first we were trying to work on an app that is kind of like a very primitive wordpad. It would have a keyboard to the side or at the top (depending on if it's landscape or normal) and you could type on it and save your work into a couple different slots. Obviously, lots of work, but it would be pretty cool. We haven't really gotten any work on it done seeing as we're still trying to LEARN the C# stuff. Perhaps you could try this out since you're so multi-talented?
![]() EDIT: I downloaded it and I actually think it would have good use. A clock being implemented would be a good idea, but for now, I can check to see if a certain day is on what day of the week. Thanks ![]() A to do list for the days would be a good touch, though. But I guess that could be for a future release? Last edited by miceylulu : 05-14-2008 at 05:42 AM.

This is pretty good. Integration with the Zune 1.5 Clock would be great. Make that the Main application hub. With the calculator, calender, and the clock it would be great. Throw in a main menu and it will be sweet. Thanks for posting this.

Hey, that's exactly what I was thinking! The Zune 1.5 Clock could become a new OS for my Zune, if it could tap into the videos too. But that's too much I guess.
And also he should intregrate a virtual keyboard so you can add notes to a specific day and set and alarm. that would be cool too. |

If you figured out a text input system that could set important dates this would be really useful.
Text could be pretty simple. Maybe not coded simply but If you look at it long enough it makes sense lol ![]()

The touch pad isn't that exact though, so people may have trouble like accidently hitting C instaead of B or something,..

good work on the calendar, I'll wait on downloading at least until I can set important dates and have access to a clock without restarting the zune, as well as play music as I see fit, all together in 1 tight little app, possibly with dated alarm clock functions and maybe a planner to go with it, I'm asking a lot, and I'm NOT telling you what to do, after all... That's amazing what you've done so far with it.. I think some graphics in the background would be nice, but great job setting up the functionality and framework of something even better in the future. If us programmers don't take baby steps, nobody will ever see our progress and likely lose interest before we get to a final product. I appreciate the work for the calendar a lot. adding even a tiny clock in the upper right corner would be real nice.
