having to reboot after using the program is part of the XNA 3.0 CTP, not the programmers fault. Tiptup would have nothing to do with the fact that it restarts when you exit, all XNA apps / games end up causing the zune to reboot, it has to do with XNA being in a beta state, and not a final release, as well as the fact that it just ensures that there is no memory leakage (being beta, this is somewhat important.)
ALSO: I'm dying for the release of the alarm clock music playing update of your wonderful zune clock, Tiptup

Is there any way you can program it so that you can set a time limit on the back light. The clock drains lots of power just letting it sit. If the backlight could be turned off it would just be like the zune was playing music.

Didn't know that, thanks for the heads up. More complicated than I thought.

Thanks for this app, it'll definitely come in handy in a tight spot. It'll be much more useful when XNA on the Zune is safe/stable enough that they don't have to reset the state after every app exits.

You need to install the font Segoe UI. If you read the thread, you will find a link to download it.

Next Version:

- Enhanced smoothness of clock hands.
- Show date
- Redid system for selecting timezone. Now has all timezones and has DST settings.
- Abillity to play songs from library.
- After 15 minutes will stop drawing/updating.
- Segoe UI packed in.

Sounds great, mate. The ability to play music in it should make it at least worth using until it doesn't have to reset on exit.

What does "After 15 minutes will stop drawing/updating" mean? After 15 minutes of no activity, or just 15 minutes of entering the program? If it's the former, that makes sense, but the latter doesn't make much sense unless there's a way to get it to start again without exiting and entering again, especially with the addition of music.

PS: Your ZBlade interface looks very nice, hopefully once you get it completed it'll be used by a lot of developers. Works great in the Clock.

I'm assuming this one has NOT been posted yet?

Any new information regarding an alarm? Do you know if it is possible?

It's easily possible, I just think it's not that important right now. The main thing I'm improving is my ZuneBlade. Adding more capabilities so that people can make their games have more features more easily.

Battery consumption definitely will decrease -.-
Actually consumption would increase.

This is a lot of posts for a clock.
Like 75 percent of the posts are for freakin segoe ui font. I wish people could read. I really do...

I just think an alarm would be great so that the zune could be used as an alarm clock. There is currently no alarm clock docks for the zune, and that would be the next best thing.

I love the nice Windows Vista look of it. Had the correct time immediately, and is elegant. Only minor thing is the rough edges on the hands of the clock when they are not in 90 degree increments (anti aliasing).

So I've downloaded the Segoe UI font from a bunch of different places and i still get an error in my builds. Anybody have any suggestions?

P.S.- Problem solved. Didn't see that I had to restart the whole visual studios for it to work.

They took out the correct rotation processing for faster processing for the zune.

Tip - is it just an update to address bugs or is there a new design (and if so, do you have a screeny?)
