BTW... if you didn't already know, putting up a black background actually waste more battery than having a white background for LCD screen.

With a black background, the zune has to supply current to the lcd screen to "twist" the crystals to block the light.

With a white background, the zune's lcd screen is in a idle state where the cyrstals does not twist thus allowing all light frequencies.

Also, the screen and the backlight will turn off by itslef in 10 minutes to save power.

Mine was black text with a white background, and you couldn't even change the timezone. Should I have changed the text to white, it would have used less battery and be just about as useful. LOL

Is that built into the program, or is it just a function of the games feature? Cause if it's written that way... I think 10 min is way too long. It takes less than that to check a clock.

@Zach - I would recommend you using a white background and a primary color text ( red, yellow, blue ) . This would use less battery because the LCD screen don't have to do a lot of work.

@Croch - The backlight turning off is probably a feature on the zune because the same thing happens when I let the zune idle on the home screen.

Man and I was working on another modification of an existing one, good to see someone else doing the job so much better than what I was even dreaming of! I appreciate this a lot. I can't wait for a programmable alarm clock with choose-able songs to play when the time is right

does it keep time after you quit, or do you have to reset it every time you load it?

It keeps the time, which is pretty cool
which makes me wonder why zune doesn't have a clock already

Nice app, though it's incredibly lame to try to close your code by giving out a dummy solution linked to a BLOB. :/
